The Baby and the Battle. A family's journey through new parenthood and cancer. December 13, 2016. So what is the plan? Duncan will be off the medication for two weeks. The hope is that he will start to feel a little better. He will be also receiving home care to help him feel comfortable. As I write this, he is having a cat scan of his shoulder and back area to see if there are metasteses that are causing his pain. If so, he may have radiation of this area to reduce his pain.
