Just another WordPress.com site. July 31, 2012. I love fruit pies but it’s been a long time since I’ve set out to make a double crusted pie entirely from scratch. Although I’m comfortable making my own pie dough, in the past few years I’ve resorted to buying frozen pie crusts from Trader Joes. While it certainly cuts the time considerably, the flavor never quite measures up to a good homemade crust. And Liz of That Skinny Chick Can Bake. Some very ripe and flavorful nectarines. Tuesday, April 30, 2013. Pizza with Onion Confit. I actually made Pizza with Onion Confit in January, but I never posted it. Below is my late post that sadly stayed in limbo for four months:. This week's recipe was pizza with onion confit. At first, I wasn't very impressed with the pizza. I either rolled the dough out too thin or cooked it too long. The crust was way too crunchy for me, but the toppings made it worth while. I devoured the whole thing all by myself. MuHAHAHa! He was this week's host!
