Wednesday, June 27, 2007. Last weekend I competed in the Subaru Women's Triathalon Series, held in Naperville IL. It was a BLAST as ususal :) some greats and some downs but overall way fun! My parents who are my biggest fans and always loyal supporters journeyed accross the state to just to help me get to my tri and watch me run my second tri! Thanks Mom and Dad! But he was a good spirit to have around. There was only one room left in the entire hotel, and we just got it! It's still raining, oh brother!

So I was driving "up north" two weekends ago and we stopped at a rest area to have a smoke when we noticed there are quite a few sheriff's vehicles across the hwy. A guy friend with us says to the patrolman that comes over "What'd you lose somebody? And the patrolman answers back "Actually yeah, we had a double drowning today.". Insert foot in mouth. Before the holidays, I'd been asking God to cultivate a thankful heart in me.this whole past fall I'd been kinda whiny and discontent. I finally had to stop and repent of that, because that's a faithless place to be. But what always amazes me is that even in my sad state God still showers me with love!
