The End of the Montreal Jinx. Twenty-six years ago on this date…. On May 15, 1990, the Stanley Cup Finals between the Oilers and Bruins opened in Boston – and it turned out to be a marathon. It was early next morning when seldom-used Edmonton forward Petr Klima ended things in triple-overtime. It’s still the longest Cup Finals game in history. What if the Bruins had won that game?
