The Imaginative Traveler

Our World Through My Eyes. Friday, November 26, 2010. Because I love storms, I was delighted that thunder and lightning traveled with us on a recent US road trip. Throughout the National Parks in southern Utah, rain was our constant companion.it served to heighten the colour of the red sandstone formations and provided me with hours of blissful sky-watching! I have never seen rain come down with such power and volume. I was rendered breathless as I watched and listened. Is something I will never forget.

The Imaginative Traveler: A Thankful Haiku

http://theimaginativetraveler.blogspot.com/2010/11/thankful-haiku.html

Our World Through My Eyes. Thursday, November 25, 2010. Our thanks bestow on. The children of the world, who. Teach us how to love…. I was fortunate enough to spend time with these wonderful children while visiting a Masai village in Kenya in 2006. Like youngsters everywhere, they were giggly, shy, curious and keen to be noticed. The Imaginative Traveler: My Irish Uncle

Our World Through My Eyes. Thursday, September 16, 2010. A hand held out.a. Glimpse of other lives I might. One day make my own…. In a childhood laced with strife, my Uncle Milford laid before me his art books and music so that I might know there was much in life that was beautiful. I have never forgotten the generosity of spirit that promised me a brighter future…. I'm linking this post to the Thursday Think Tank Prompt at Poets United. The Imaginative Traveler: Egyptian Shadows

http://theimaginativetraveler.blogspot.com/2010/09/egyptian-shadows.html

Our World Through My Eyes. Sunday, September 19, 2010. As my last post was of Egyptian skies, I thought to continue with more of this country's beauty for Shadow Shot Sunday. There is a wonderful luminosity to the light in Egypt as it reflects off handhewn columns and ripples over sand underfoot. Everthing the sun touches here turns golden, contrasting sharply with the dim inner spaces that sunlight doesn't reach. Ancient temples are this photographers's dream, affording perfect studies in sun and shadow.

A Greyton Country House: The sky's the limit

http://greytonhome.blogspot.com/2010/09/skys-limit.html

A Greyton Country House. Winsford House is a beautiful country house in the Cape Dutch style in Greyton village. September 3, 2010. The sky's the limit. In July there was snow on the mountains and the most spectacular skies over Greyton. This little church on the road to Greyton was lit by a rainbow. The village of Greyton was chilly, but the mountains that surround it were magical. September 3, 2010 at 7:04 PM. Such a beautiful spot, indeed! Looks like a wonderful place to raise children.

Ruminations: What do I care for Change...

http://rks-ruminations.blogspot.com/2010/08/what-do-i-care-for-change_01.html

Sunday, August 1, 2010. What do I care for Change. All I care for now is to live. To find the place from where. The next meal for my children. Will come; All I care is for the. Few pots of water that I have to. Walk miles for; through burning lands. To slake the family’s raging thirst;. All I care for is those pieces of coal. Live coals on my heart. For they are hard-earned; Earned. By my eight year old daughter. After playing hanky-panky with. That aging, soul-less engine-driver. And before that hers.

Hey Reynolds, you’ve won the investigator lottery again! Said Slater as he slapped a file down on my desk. My eyes traced a line from my cluttered desk to his pear shaped body and followed the egg stains on his cheap tie up to his fat grinning face. Congratulations buddy! Hey, are you ok? The Imaginaut

Explorer of the worlds of cinema, music, literature, and sequential art. Saturday, December 24, 2005. The Best of 2005: Movies. As 2005 is closing, it's time to recount the movies that mattered to me in the past year. This is, of course, an incomprehensive list as I did not watch all the movies that were released. I might see. Before the year ends, so that may be added to the list. After Joel Schumacher devastated the Batman franchise with the release of the ultra campy Batman and Robin. Stephen Chow man...
