The Knitographer

Saturday, August 15, 2015. Granville - the beginning. It's taken me quite a few months to get to this point. I've managed to find plenty of other things to do, other projects to make, more skirts and dresses, all the while avoiding the most difficult pattern I've ever picked out. But last weekend, I ran out of excuses. I've cut out the pieces to my Granville Shirt. Jo - The Knitographer. Sunday, August 9, 2015. I used How Joyful's camera carrier tutorial. For my base, but had to improvise a bit because I...

The Knitographer: Patterns

http://theknitographer.blogspot.com/p/patterns.html

A simple half circle shawl that goes with everything. Liked by Lorde on Instagram (best day of my life) and knitted in the amazing Outlaw Yarn's Vanitas DK, the Camp Fire Scarf. Is versatile, snuggly and a modern twist on a rectangular scarf. My first pattern published through this blog, Lola Bobble. Is a great hat for beginners, with the added awesomeness of a pompom on top! Flat White Fingerless Mitts. The Flat White mitts. Are a great first project! My Christmas 2014 themed pattern. The Knitographer: January 2015

http://theknitographer.blogspot.com/2015_01_01_archive.html

Saturday, January 31, 2015. Flat white - beginner fingerless mitt pattern. I've been craving to start something new this week. Since I gave up on the jumper, I've had wool on the winder ready to start making a new jumper. I've even got the pattern all ready. I've gone though the stash and considered all the new socks I could start. And the shawls. I need a new scarf, even though it's the middle of summer. I've been working on the dress, it's been on the needles for so long that I just want something new.

The Knitographer: December 2014

http://theknitographer.blogspot.com/2014_12_01_archive.html

Friday, December 26, 2014. We're going on an adventure! In a couple of hours we're off to Melbourne for 10 days! I'm looking forward to catching up with family and friends, a bit of vintage and yarn shopping and lots of good coffee. More excitingly though is that this is the first time me and the husband have been overseas together. I've travelled a lot separately, but we've never been further than the South Island together in our seven years as a couple. Total madness I know! Jo - The Knitographer.

Sunday, 15 January 2012. That's the sound this month is making as it whizzes by. It's already the middle of January! I finished my Derry Raglan and Cowl. And decided after trying it on that the sweater is definitely a go, but the cowl. not so much. Perhaps the cowl would benefit from some blocking, but at this stage I think it'll just stay as a possible accessory if it gets. Cold (which is unlikely up here). Still, I'm more than happy with the sweater:. They shall be winging their way to her first thing ...

The Knit-Nurse Chronicles

Knitting and London life. Not necessarily in that order. Sunday, May 31. Shoeburyness to Benfleet by bike. What better way to spend a rather grey bank holiday than cycling along the Essex coast? Yes I know it might sound a bit underwhelming but I'm getting a bit of a soft spot for the northern side of the Thames estuary, a bit like the southern side took a while to grow on me. Further back in Shoeburyness we happened upon these lovely modern beach huts. Much further along the coast, having survived the s...

The KnitObsessed

Because we can't help ourselves. Thursday, September 03, 2009. Wow, I've actually been knitting. It's been a productive year, however, I've resigned myself to sporadic blog posts. Nevermind since there's probably 2 people who read this blog anyway, me being one of them. A couple of finished objects to parade around. The first is a simple thing, a pair of socks as usual, made from Crystal Palace called Mini Mochi. Not to be mistaken with the tasty Asian treat Mochi. Here it is blocking and drying. Basical...

Wednesday, January 28, 2015. OUTLANDERISH FAN LOVE WRAP. One of the perks of being a fan of the Outlander series is seeing the main character, Claire, wearing period knitwear each week.
