Wednesday, May 30, 2012. In order to truly appreciate moments of leisure, I suppose one must endure hard work. The last few weeks have been labor intensive, due to a sudden change in circumstance. Friday, February 10, 2012. Honestly, it's not my favorite holiday. I suppose I'm not much of a romantic (excluding my love of all things related to Jane Asten and BBC Masterpiece Theater). I think the best way to celebrate, is to do so on an elementary level. Cards, boxes, conversation hearts - I like it simple. These are the cards we will be sending out this year:. Wednesday, December 21, 2011. We are getting ready for the big day! Baking, wrapping, decorating, santa visiting, all around mahem. We took the kids to visit Santa at Storybook Lane (a local dairy). They have a play town called Dairyville, with an old bank, school, candy shop. They also have an old theater that plays Christmas movies. It was lots of fun. Monday, February 20, 2012. Gift #7: Pillows and Blankets. Besides the obvious benefit involving comfort and warmth, I am also thankful for blankets and pillows because of their entertainment value. The kiddies had no school today, and I had lots of laundry to do. We were in short supply of fun, so we built a mountain/ramp/trampoline. Chad wanted a picture of himself flying. Instead, he got mostly blurry images with his head chopped off. And many landing images. He was not impressed with my photo skills.

Friday, October 21, 2011. Annual Pumpkin Patch Festivities. This is like our tenth visit to Lakeview Farms, we never tire of it. Apparently, it continues to surprise, as well (wait for it). The kiddies love the train ride. I love taking pictures of the kiddies on the train. This is one I took while everyone had boarded. The kids were convinced the train would leave without me. Sunday, June 19, 2011. We feel pretty lucky to be surrounded by such good men! Sunday, June 12, 2011. I'm not a big fan of kids jumping on beds, couches, trampolines without nets. Someone always gets hurt. But every once is awhile, I give in and allow a few moments of delight. Of couse, it ended ubruptly with an injury, but fun none the less. Thursday, June 2, 2011. Friday, September 23, 2011. Time for tea (aka pink lemonade). Aubrey turned 6 last week, so we celebrated with a tea party. All of her little friends dressed up, and had a dainty lunch. Thursday, September 15, 2011. Last weekend we went to the Enchanted Forest, and I love it there. There's tunnels, potato sack slides, teepees, gold mining, castles. What's not to love?
