This is where we live. The Meadens Went to the Emergency Room. It Must be Tuesday. (aka, The Stroke Post). May 23, 2012. My Dad took me home, and I quickly threw together some clothes, cell phone chargers, and meds and toiletries. Lucy had woken up crying, so I was able to hold her and comfort her (this actually helped immensely.) I said goodbye, and we then began the drive up to Spokane. None of us knew how Sarah was doing, or even if she was still alive. Ok Praises and prayer requests time. We got Sara...

This is where we live. Toddler Times – Playing in the Wind. September 4, 2012. Where we live, we may be blessed with 300 days of sunshine a year (although a lot of times I wish we had more rain! Many of those days come packaged along with wind. Sometimes, the wind brings lots of dust and allergens, but there are a few rare days that it’s just breezy enough to be fun. What do you like to do with your toddler when the weather isn’t quite perfect? 2 responses ». October 1, 2012 at 7:36 am. To Love, Honor, a...

As I Lay Dying… | meadenesque

This is where we live. As I Lay Dying…. May 22, 2013. So a year ago today, this happened. I’ve not quite gotten to the point where I feel comfortable talking about everything that happened that day from my point of view, but I like pushing myself so we’re going to give it a whirl. I’m just tired, I need a nap. Just need to get home to nap. 8221; And the last thing I remember before surgery was the doctor patting me on the arm and saying, “you’re going to do fine…”. 4 responses ». May 22, 2013 at 9:35 am.

This is where we live. November 28, 2012. It’s been slow going, but I’ve got another US Presidential biography under my belt – this time about James Buchanan. Who was quite possibly the US’s first gay President. If you’d like to read any of my Presidential Biography Posts, check out this page. Leave a Reply Cancel reply. Enter your comment here. A Recap of the Library | meadenesque
https://meadenesque.wordpress.com/2014/01/01/a-recap-of-the-library
This is where we live. A Recap of the Library. January 1, 2014. I, like The Bloggess, have an aversion to the number 13. So when she came up with the brilliant idea of calling 2013 “the library” to avoid unpleasantness, I jumped on board. I’m pretty thrilled that it’s over. It wasn’t such a bad year, but let’s just say I’m happier to be writing 2014 on my dates instead of the other number. Kristen Howerton of Rage Against the Minivan. Posted this and she took it from All and Sundry. Not specific dates, b...

Toddler Times – Zucchini Bread | meadenesque

This is where we live. Toddler Times – Zucchini Bread. August 7, 2012. Of course, we had to bring our goldfish crackers to help us stir…. LP also helped me put them in the oven by pushing the “start” button on the timer. Wow, I didn’t realize how disgusting my oven is. (We have no self-clean option so I’m lazy about it). Guess I’ll have to get on that. Then we had to wait for it to cook, and cool. But finally (after naptime) we got to the best part – eating! Leave a Reply Cancel reply.

This is where we live. Toddler Times – Sidewalk Chalk Paint. August 15, 2012. I’ve used both baby food jars and muffin tins to hold our colors. And I put it on a rimmed baking tray to carry in and out of the house. We even used this at playgroup one week and it was a big hit. 2 responses ». August 15, 2012 at 3:01 pm. Thanks for the recipe! I’ve so enjoyed checking out the pictures of LP playing with it for the last month! She’s such a cutie! August 16, 2012 at 11:39 am. Yay for summer activities!

Let us run with endurance the race set before us, fixing our eyes on Jesus. Asymp; 1 Comment. Spring is just around the corner here in Minneapolis…or so I hope. We are experiencing another slew of snow, expecting maybe 10 inches by tomorrow night! But nevertheless, spring. Come eventually. And if not indicated by the weather, the calendar will say “goodbye” to winter in just a few weeks. Little did we know that new life was to be extremely short. Much of the pain of last year has been eased, allowing me ...

declaring the glories of God | Just Another Runner

Let us run with endurance the race set before us, fixing our eyes on Jesus. Declaring the glories of God. Asymp; Leave a comment. There’s not a plant or flower below, but makes Your glories known;. And clouds arise, and tempests blow, by order of Your throne;. While all that borrows life from You is ever in Your care,. And everywhere that man can be, You, God, are present there. This is a verse of the old hymn written by Isaac Watts. I Sing the Mighty Power of God. For God deserves nothing less. Enter yo...
