The Nelson House Diaries

Sunday, 9 August 2015. Early evening is the perfect time for us to head to the beach, the crowds have gone and it's no too hot for Mortimer. Mortimer (and Andrew) like nothing more than a splash about. Unfortunately Mortimer likes to finish with a roll around the wet sand. Whereas I prefer a cold glass of something at the Sunset Bar! Thursday, 30 July 2015. This post seems to have been a long time coming but finally. Which is now this. And round the corner is this. Any way a few photographs for you.

The Nelson House Diaries: January 2015

http://thenelsonhousediaries.blogspot.com/2015_01_01_archive.html

Wednesday, 28 January 2015. Surely you wouldn't begrudge me a large and juicy bone? Labels: Mortimer the labradoodle. Wednesday, 21 January 2015. We live less than 20 miles from Sandringham but in almost four years had never visited. Friends kept telling us that it was a lovely place for a walk but we just never got there, we always drove past on the way to the beach. But on a recent cold, frosty day we wrapped up warmly, threw Mortimer in the car and headed off. Part of the Scenic Drive. Next step was t...

The Nelson House Diaries: March 2015

http://thenelsonhousediaries.blogspot.com/2015_03_01_archive.html

Sunday, 22 March 2015. The clouds parted just enough for us to see the eclipse this week. You may remember last year I was moaning about not having enough storage and too many clothes. Well I've been Ebaying and giving to charity shops, some hard decisions were made about clothes I loved but never wore. Andrew gave me a linen press for my birthday last year, a piece of furniture I had always yearned for and all my problems were solved. And what happens when we move? At the moment the bees are winning!

The Nelson House Diaries: November 2014

http://thenelsonhousediaries.blogspot.com/2014_11_01_archive.html

Thursday, 27 November 2014. The ditches and dykes have all been cleared in preparation for the winter storms. Ready for winter rain. There are a lot of foggy mornings. I much preferred the first frost of the season. View from the bedroom - the first frost. Using the last of our neighbour's tomatoes to make chutney. Hunting down more squash recipes. Being the only people on the beach. Hunstanton on a wet Sunday. And finally starting some Christmas shopping at the Ely Cathedral gift and food fair. I usuall...

The Nelson House Diaries: July 2014

http://thenelsonhousediaries.blogspot.com/2014_07_01_archive.html

Wednesday, 30 July 2014. I was about to write 'last Sunday' but I really don't know where this month has gone and it was actually the Sunday before last that we attended an introduction to bee keeping taster session organised by the West Norfolk and King's Lynn Beekeepers Association. After being kitted out in bee suits and a short, but important, health and safety talk we headed out to the hives. I'll let the photographs do the talking. Off to the apiary. I'm hoping to do the theory course next February...

Friday, March 27, 2015. When I was pregnant i was all stressed out because I wasn't sure exactly what I need for when Baby Hallie arrived! I would google all the time looking for a list that would tell me what I needed! There were lots of lists that were named things like "The ten absolute things you must have for Baby" or "Essentials for having a newborn" or "Must have's to giving birth". And then i would read these lists and feel even more stressed out because holy cow! Monday, February 23, 2015. But t...

Krista and Hans-Erik's Blog

Krista and Hans-Erik's Blog. Friday, June 15, 2012. What would we call it if the church suffered from a condition of impaired communication and social interaction? If it repetitively engaged in the same patterns of behavior? Would this lack of social interaction paired with "a lack of spontaneous seeking to share enjoyment, interests, or achievements" lead it to lose its identity? A church or denomination that loses its ability to communicate and socialize has ecclesiastical autism. Tomorrow we will welc...
