Those of us keenly interested in the recovery of New Orleans are always on the look-out for every scrap of good news. We got some yesterday. Tom Benson announced that the Saints. Would return to New Orleans next season. The Superdome will be getting a $100 million face-lift and is expected to be ready for play by mid-September.

June 1: Last day! June 1st, 2016. I got up at 5 AM so I could go back to Santa Fe Canyon and see birds — hoping for a Pinyon Jay at least. No luck on that, but I did get a Juniper Titmouse.
