On facebook that really made me think. i've been enjoying talking up christmas to the boys, encouraging them to let me know what they'd like to receive and looking at the trees and decorations already out in the stores. but i have not encouraged them in the spirit of giving and being thankful. and so i have made a commitment to being grateful myself, and to share that with my boys this coming week. His birthday arrived after a week of sickness. mama stressed about another test. not managing to do anything for father's day. i felt like such a failure. Wednesday, December 28, 2011. A photo by sassyladybug. Whew, thanksgiving was here and then blink. Of course there is the flip side, as there always is - ornaments broken by my favorite 2-year-old. the constant mess and clutter that decorations provide. bags and bags of gifts that must be wrapped when all you want to do is relax at the end of the day. Friday, April 5, 2013. I 'm feeling especially grateful for these two little guys this week. i am constantly challenged and amazed. they keep growing and changing and surprising me. Andrew has hit this stage - finally - where he likes to draw. i am absolutely loving it. most of his pictures are mario and luigi and lots of sounded-out words. and then there was the one where he couldn't stop giggling, of his daddy with the words "yor fierd.". Wednesday, March 28, 2012. And many which i needed for school. But i also had to go back home and get the books that i wanted to renew, since they were refusing to renew them through the computer. Then it rained. it was one of those cold rains where your body is chilled to the bone. andrew had a half day - for which i am thankful - so we ran back inside the house from the car and got under the blankets. cranked the heat up -. Shh, don't tell chris about the heat. And tried our best to warm our insides.

Wednesday, February 27, 2013. Life gets busy. i ended up with an unplanned break from blogging due to the busyness of life. the summer brought beautiful days where i spent many hours studying and then playing in the sunshine with my boys. the fall brought a mix of emotions as i completed the final leg of this teaching journey, but left christian for the first time. Monday, March 18, 2013. A photo by sassyladybug. On friday, cheri. And i got together for a bit of crafting. we used to craft once a week. this was pre-bebe (for cheri) and with my boys driving me a bit more nuts during the day, i needed desperately to get out of the house once a week.
