Traveling Light with the Ferriters: July 2014

Thursday, July 31, 2014. Summertime and the livings easy. We are having such an awesome summer. Having turned the corner with a now one year old and almost three year old, we have hit a sweet spot of post terrible twos for Keeley and post baby's first year transitioning with Cora. They both walk, eat and sleep at the same times, and generally do what I ask. It's a miracle. We will enjoy it while it lasts. Not to mention all the other fun things there are to do; parks, pools, beaches, etc. Norm and Cassi ...

Monday, April 28, 2014. Cora - 10 Months Old. I can't get enough of this blue-eyed, babbling, cruising, smiling, joyful little baby girl. She keeps me on my toes finding every drawer to pull out, every corner of a table to fall into, every pebble to pick up and eat, but as much as I want her to walk and get easier to chase, a part of me wants to keep her in this little window of time forever. This kid loves shoes! We can't keep her away from the doormat! Posted by Meagan Ferriter. View my complete profile.

Traveling Light with the Ferriters: July 2015

Monday, July 20, 2015. The 2 and a half hour ferry ride felt long, with 5 kids ready for a nap and ready to run, and little space for them to play without ending up overboard. But as parents determined to get to the island, the Safinos and Emmet had some beers and we made it though with endless stroller rides around the deck and lots of snacks. During the golf outing, Abbey, Emily and I took the kids to the Aquarium, which was small, but exciting for the kids to see, nonetheless. Our favorite afternoon h...

Sunday, December 28, 2014. Uncle Conor on Ice. Conor got to stay with us a couple days after Christmas and hang out, and we decided taking Keeley ice skating with her new helmet from Santa would be a fun way to get out for the afternoon and let Con have some New England winter activities before he left for South Carolina. I don't think there was a kid more proud than Keeley to be led around by her Dad and her GodDad on ice skates, gliding around "Just like Angelina Ballerina on Ice Skates.". This Christm...

Sunday, May 24, 2015. Lake George Trip for Memorial Day. I absolutely LOVE Memorial Day at Lake George. It feels like we're getting a bonus summer weekend, with the thrill of knowing that the entire season is ahead of us, with lots of sunny days on Hulett's Landing to look forward to. Baby James made his maiden voyage over the mountain to Lake George, and couldn't be cuter. Aunt Kerin was smart to bring the "jumparoo" so that she could have hands free, and he could bounce to his hearts content. Kerin and...

Sunday, October 2, 2011. Day 2 (or Day 1, Part 2 if you want to get technical). Day 2: What has been better than you expected? View from my porch. Sitting on the beach in front of my apartment. My friend Katie, a fellow spouse down here, came up with this fun blogging challenge called "10 Days in Dominica." The challenge actually started yesterday, October 1st, but, in true island fashion, I am late. Woops. Anyway, look for 2 posts today and then hopefully I'll be back on track.
