Chronicles of a weekend warrior. Tuesday, February 07, 2006. Clear Fork of Cowlitz. This is one of the few runs that lives up to all of the hype! This is definitely one of the best creeks in the State of Washington! These pictures were taken in the Spring of 2005 and this was a medium low level. This run is a full day that demands respect every second that you're on it. Ben Glahn at Entrance Exam. Photo by Andrew Oberhardt. Matt in the background with Brian in foreground. The Water Cycle: Clear Creek Headwaters, Wilderness Falls Section: IV (V,P)
http://h20cycle.blogspot.com/2010/10/clear-creek-headwaters-wilderness-falls.html
Sunday, October 31, 2010. Clear Creek Headwaters, Wilderness Falls Section: IV (V,P). Hiking in from the Smith River divide. Is a classic section of class IV/V whitewater that has become a favorite run of mine. But for the last five years, I have stood at that put-in bridge at Ten Mile Creek and gazed upstream, wondering what whitewater secrets the wilderness holds. Looking upstream from the bridge at Ten Mile Creek. The light effects made the hike in much more pleasureable. JR enjoying the sunshine.

http://creekwv.blogspot.com/2011/04/2011-big-sandy-race-when-c-1s-attack.html
Monday, April 11, 2011. 2011 Big Sandy Race (when C-1's attack! While running the Big Sandy. On Friday, a light bulb went off about the coming weekend: The forecast was for a little bit of rain, and then sunshine and 80 degree temps on Sunday. The rain would hold a nice comfy level on the Big Sandy, and what better way to enjoy the sunshine than a race down our mainstay run? The times are at the bottom if you have. We had debated whether to end the race as you landed Wonder, or to move it to a rock downs...
