destination unknown: The Warehouse on Llewellyn Street
http://unknownzine.blogspot.com/2013/09/the-warehouse-on-llewellyn-street.html
Sunday, September 1, 2013. The Warehouse on Llewellyn Street. T least one or two scenes per session take place at this dilapidated old warehouse on Llewllyn St. near Chinatown. There have been a few pitched battles there, so I thought I'd quickly build a piece of terrain. I just need a basic model to emulate the first floor. The model is ugly and crude, but I think it might work. A top down view. Very few frills. Just something to add a bit of atmosphere to a recurring location. Thanks, Bill. Quick a...

frothsof D&D: February 2014
http://frothsofdnd.blogspot.com/2014_02_01_archive.html
Friday, February 28, 2014. So the other day I read someone, somewhere, categorizing the giant rat as a “throw-away” monster. In fact, they went so far as to imply that an adventure that uses giant rats is boring and/or uncreative. I personally love giant rats, but like many monsters, its really the way that you use them that is important. This sort of thing was covered before in the famous Dragon mag essay “Tucker’s Kobolds”. By This Axe I Rule!: October 2013
http://www.bythisaxe.co/2013_10_01_archive.html
By This Axe I Rule! Friday, October 18, 2013. The Maleficent Witch Tradition. Any witch is at risk of being burned at the stake by the ignorant because of maleficent witches, also known as wicked witches. Such is the fear of this most despised and fiendish of traditions that it casts a shadow over all of witch-kind. The following is a new Tradition for the Player's Companion Witch class. A maleficent witch does not receive any bonus spells at 1st level.). 4th level: cause serious wounds. I find it conven...

The Dragon's Flagon: November 2014
http://thedragonsflagon.blogspot.com/2014_11_01_archive.html
Welcome, wayfarers, to the Dragons Flagon! Pull up a chair, have a pint, and gather round the fire for musings on old school Dungeons and Dragons and the odd vaguely related ramble. Incarnations of classic D&D. Sunday, November 16, 2014. Oracular dice and the 1-hp orc. Well, here I am back at the ol' Flagon after another unscheduled anxiety and panic disorder-induced hiatus. Nothing earth-shattering for my first post of November; just some musings on that tired old topic of what hit points mean. I'm give...
