Tuesday, June 28, 2011. We gave Peyton her birthday present a little early (not intentionally, but we almost got her to get rid of her binky, then I decided after a week of her not napping that I didn't really care if she has a binky or not- pregnant moms need nap time as much as preschoolers! And the most exciting thing that happened in June was that Peyton had her 3rd birthday! Peyton was so excited to give Jade his Father's Day breakfast and gifts. Peyton got her first bouquet of flowers from a boy!

Sunday, March 25, 2012. Miss Vegas. Don't get me wrong, I absolutely love living in Portland, but when March comes around, and it's snowing, I wonder what the heck I'm thinking. The girls and I flew down to Las Vegas on Sunday the 18th to catch a little sun and occupy ourselves while Jade did a 2.5 week business trip. Have I mentioned we missed our flight? Cheyanne said, "They're married! The only bad part of the night was Jade leaving for the rest of his work road-trip. That's Jade behind the wheel!

Monday, June 18, 2012. Peyton gave a great prayer in Primary- all by herself! Most kids in Jr. Primary (even some of the older ones) still want help giving the prayer. Peyton did great, and I was a proud momma. For dinner, we went over to Jade's parents' house and had yummy BBQ steak and chicken. Then we played a little trivia game with the kids, using clues about each of the dads in the family. It was so fun to see the kids react to funny stories about Grandpa and different uncles. I love sleeping babies.

Thursday, November 24, 2011. It's not chunky like our shaved ice here- it's the same consistency as snow! Monday we went to Waimea Canyon, dubbed by Mark Twain as the "Grand Canyon of the Pacific". It's a 14 mile long, 1 mile wide, 3600 feet deep canyon in the middle of Kauai. It was beautiful! Tuesday I left Piper with Jade, and my mom took my sister, brother, Peyton and I on a GREAT excursion- we took a 30ft zodiac raft up and down the Na Pali coast. It was absolutely gorgeous! Two sweethearts still in love after 40 years! Wednesday, May 23, 2012. Cement truck arrives. It was a big deal for the neighborhood kids. They were all looking out the window to see what the commotion was. A cement truck is very, very noisy! I thought I had these in order, but this is the poured conrete with the supports all finished. The brown you see if the remnants of the molasses they slathered on the concrete. The workers beginning to pour the concrete in the prepared area. That looks so great!

Do not know the name of these flowers, but they are pretty. They came up with the hyacinths. Backyard yellow tulips. I took pictures after I had clipped some and taken them inside for a bouquet/. I re-planted strawberries among my blueberries before we left for Rexburg. It rained enough that the transplants survived. April 22, 2012 at 8:20 AM.
