Lake of Shining Waters. 8230;the Lake of Shining Waters was blue — blue — blue; not the changeful blue of spring, nor the pale azure of summer, but a clear, steadfast, serene blue, as if the water were past all modes and tenses of emotion and had settled down to a tranquillity unbroken by fickle dreams.". Blog of Green Gables: MacNeil Homestead
http://blogofgreengables.blogspot.com/2012/01/macneil-homestead.html
Blog of Green Gables. Sunday, January 15, 2012. Behind them in the garden the little stone house brooded among the shadows. It was lonely but not forsaken. It had not yet done with dreams and laughter and the joy of life; there were to be future summers for the little stone house; meanwhile, it could wait. And over the river in purple durance the echoes bided their time.". Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Is a writer from Toronto, Canada. View my complete profile. Anne of Green Gables.

Blog of Green Gables. Sunday, June 3, 2012. LM Montgomery was born November 30, 1874 in a small white and green house overlooking New London Harbour on PEI. The house is very well-maintained. The interior is decorated with period Victorian furnishings. There is a small bedroom decorated as it may have been when Montgomery was born there. On display in the house is Montgomery's wedding dress. It has been perfectly preserved and it's amazing to see how tiny it is! Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).

Swords and Sandals: August 2012
http://swordsandals.blogspot.com/2012_08_01_archive.html
A celebration of legendary heroes in film, television and literature. Thursday, August 30, 2012. Last month, Prodiles in History auctioned off this screen-used Spartan costume from Zack Snyder's 300. These costumes were designed by frequent Snyder collaborator Michael Wilkinson. I think he did a great job at translating the graphic novel art into a flesh and blood costume. It's lines are really simple but it's somehow still stunning to look at. This sold for $8000. Thursday, August 23, 2012. Through all ...

Swords and Sandals: October 2012

A celebration of legendary heroes in film, television and literature. Thursday, October 25, 2012. In London, on November 6, 2012, Bonhams. Will be holding a Fine Japanese Art auction. One of the lots in particular caught my eye. Lot 292 is a set of armour for a female samurai! I didn't realize there had been female samurai so I did a little research. The auction also includes several examples of male samurai armour. The pieces are beautiful and terrifying! I wouldn't want to face any of them in battle!
