Food and Wine, including recipes. I’m still here…Part 2. On March 26, 2012. Now the real challenge…what have we indulged in lately? And did I manage to capture any of it with my camera? Unfortunately, the answer to the latter is no.). Hmmm My dining over the last week or so seemed much more interesting at the time. On July 20, 2016. 2 cups fresh basil. 1 cup fresh Italian parsley. 1/2 cup Parmesan or romano cheese, grated. 1/2 cup pine nuts, toasted. 4 garlic cloves, roughly chopped. 1/8 teaspoon red pepper flakes. 1/2 cup olive oil. 1 tablespoon lemon juice. On August 8, 2016. 4 (8-ounce) pieces bone-in beef short ribs. 1 tablespoon vegetable oil. 4 medium carrots, finely chopped. 1 medium onion, finely chopped. 2 garlic cloves, finely chopped. 1 (14-ounce) can whole San Marzano tomatoes in juice, pureed in a blender with juice. 1 1/2 cups dry red wine. 4 cups beef stock. 1 package Demi-Glace Gold. 2 sprigs fresh thyme. 1 Turkish or 1/2 California Bay Leaf. 1 tablespoon balsamic vinegar.

And I want you to love it, too. November 10, 2012. In all honesty, I haven’t been in the mood to update the blog. Hurricane Sandy just barely brushed by my neighborhood, and the damage on the streets around my house you’ll see in the following pictures. Some crushed cars and some beautiful old trees uprooted, but no loss of life and no damaged homes as far as I know. Here’s to hoping that the scars will heal soon. Can't imagine I won't like it seeing I love all their wines. Highly enjoyed their tasting room in Napa& beautiful grounds. Also the only winery we went to that let us keep our glass from the tasting :) here are a few notes about this wine. Grapes are from Sonoma County. We decided to rent a car for the day and do some sightseeing outside of Antibes. As we left Antibes we drove through Grasse (the city of Perfumes) on our way to Saint-Vallier-de-Thiey.
