Cooking with Natural Foods. Favorite Fats and Oils. Miso Sesame Winter Squash Recipe. January 24, 2012. 124; 115 Comments. It's a riff on one of the recipes in Bryant Terry's new cookbook. His Molasses, Miso, and Maple Candied Sweet Potatoes. I swapped in some delicata squash and tofu for his sweet potatoes, and had myself a pretty spectacular one-pan meal. I'm a big fan of Bryant's. Recipes ( remember these. Thanks for the inspiration B. :) Cheers, and congrats on the new book. Miso Sesame Winter Squash.

Wednesday, 24 September 2014. Wordless Wednesday - An Unusual Type of Pot Plant! Sunday, 21 September 2014. Last week it was our wedding anniversary. It is 33 years since we married, 35 since we met. We were little more than children back then and we have in many ways grown up together. We don't often buy each other gifts but my husband always gets me flowers. This year it was a stunning bunch of freesias from De Jager. Would I have had three auburn haired children? Would I have been happy? A few weeks a...

Alex Gutteridge writes...: Days Out
http://alex-gutteridge.blogspot.com/2015/03/days-out.html
Friday, 20 March 2015. Days out can seem like such an indulgence. Ever since I first started writing there has been this constant conflict - when I'm writing I always think of all of the other things which need doing and when I'm not placing words on the page I feel that I should be! But by the time we emerged from the tube station at Leicester Square a lemony spring sunshine was brightening the buildings and lifting our spirits. The exhibition focuses on Sargent's non-commissioned work so there is a fre...

Cooking with Natural Foods. Favorite Fats and Oils. Sesame Banana Bread Recipe. September 3, 2012. 124; 74 Comments. I brought this twist on banana bread on our ill-fated camping trip. I imagined a slice of it would be perfect mid-hike, preferably somewhere near an alpine lake. We have an endless amount of toasted sesame seeds around the house (jars, bags, bins), because Wayne bakes the sesame version of the Tartine. Friday, 17 April 2015. Thank-you for dropping by and have a good week. Friday, 3 April 2015. I've always loved words, ever since I was tiny. I learned to talk early and I was taught the value of words from an early age, that words are important, that they have weight and power. We can all recount words which have hurt us. They linger long in our memories. Kind words too can make all the difference to our day. Thank-you for dropping by and have a lovely Easter. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). A couple of days...

Sunday, 10 May 2015. It's been a busy few weeks and sometimes I've felt like a hamster on a wheel. But the week before last we got away for a few days to Seville and Granada. It was blissful. Seville is beautiful, friendly and full of life. I would go back in a heartbeat. This was the view from our hotel window. Here is a taste of what we found when arriving at the top of the hill - a place brimming with history, exquisite carvings and colourful tiles but also somewhere overflowing with light and shade, ...
