frugallivinginGtown: February 2015
http://frugallivingingtown.blogspot.com/2015_02_01_archive.html
Saturday, February 28, 2015. I only wanted a few items. I'm trying to get used to Aldi. They did not have cream of tartar. Saturday, February 21, 2015. This snow needs to leave Cardinal Cottage or is it staying around waiting for more? Thursday, February 19, 2015. I love the warm glow. It makes any room feel cozier. Don't you agree? And don't get me started on Yankee Candles-especially the Home Sweet Home scent. It smells so good. Being frugal can make being warm a challenge. But I refuse to freeze o...

frugallivinginGtown: April 2015
http://frugallivingingtown.blogspot.com/2015_04_01_archive.html
Tuesday, April 28, 2015. I watched a dvd entitled Food Stamped over the weekend. It really is quite interesting. It helps that one of the participants is a chef/nutrionist by trade so she was able to whip up some stuff that most of us may not think of. But I digress. Husband and wife did a food stamp challenge for 1 week. $50.00. They live in California. I've never participated in a food stamp challenge. I've often thought of it but never could make that leap. And 2-participated in a challenge like this?

Rebuilding Life: February 2015
http://mamawolfinkentucky.blogspot.com/2015_02_01_archive.html
Sunday, February 22, 2015. The Good, The Bad and The Frugal. Not much has happened this week. She wants out so bad. We haven't had this much snow in a very long time. So pretty and we ended up shutting down for the entire week. I made homemade cornbread for the first time and it was good. I cashed in my Bing Rewards points for a $5 Amazon gift card. I hung up some clothes to dry instead of using the dryer. Labels: good bad and frugal. Thursday, February 19, 2015. Tuesday, February 17, 2015. In general I ...

frugallivinginGtown: When Life Throws a Major Curveball
http://frugallivingingtown.blogspot.com/2015/08/when-life-throws-major-curveball.html
Sunday, August 9, 2015. When Life Throws a Major Curveball. I got a phone call early this morning. You know one of the calls that you know is bad news before you pick up the phone. It was my brother. His wife died suddenly last night of an apparent heart attack. Just 61 years old. That's not how I envisioned our day to start to say the least. How would I be financially speaking after the dust settles. After insurance claims are paid? How would I survive? Do you have a will? August 9, 2015 at 3:34 PM.

frugallivinginGtown: I'm Learning Some Hard Lessons
http://frugallivingingtown.blogspot.com/2015/08/im-learning-some-hard-lessons.html
Thursday, August 13, 2015. I'm Learning Some Hard Lessons. As far as I know no friends or family members know I have a blog so I will vent here a bit. I've heard a few times within the last few days of "I can't afford" or "that is too expensive". This is from a family member that we assumed had loads of money because we were told they had been making six figures for years. You could knock me over with a feather. August 13, 2015 at 4:08 PM. August 15, 2015 at 1:17 PM. August 15, 2015 at 5:38 PM. I am a 50...

Declutter Challenge ~ The Single Saver
http://www.thesinglesaver.com/p/declutter-challenge.html
This will be the year I rid clutter from my life! Have you muttered a similar phrase at the start of each year for the last decade or so? Do you start out each year with good intentions, only to lose motivation somewhere around the end of February? If so, you are not alone. Starting in January I will be updating you on my progress every week on my blog, The Single Saver. My motivation to keep going will be my accountability to you, my blog readers. And I am asking you to join me. The rules are simple:.
