I've obviously still got radiation in me (ick) but no thyroid cancer lurking anywhere. HUGE relief. Sunday, December 26, 2010. Are you ok now? Are questions I'm frequently asked when people learn of my dealings with thyroid cancer. I sure wish I had a definitive answer for them, but I don't have an answer for me yet either. I had another set of bloodwork recently. The Tg (thyroglobulin) inched up a little from the initial 2.5 post op level to 4.2. How significant is that? I guess the answers to those questions will remain unanswered for now. Thursday, August 19, 2010. No such thing as good cancer. Paid one last visit to the beach and summer vacation last weekend before returning to the realities of the next school year. Had a great time with girlfriends and was treated to a glimpse of the meteor shower on a midnight beach walk just by luck because I didn't know it was happening. Thursday, July 22, 2010. At least I know. Thursday, July 15, 2010. Now I just have to wait for the results which will probably take about a week. Monday, July 12, 2010. Not the News I was hoping for. I feel almost like I'm starting all over again. It was July last year that I had the first surgery, an open biopsy, that diagnosed the cancer in the first place. I never saw the movie Groundhog Day, but I'm feeling like a Groundhog Year. I'm hoping for better outcome the second time around.
