Table for One: Dismissals
http://leita-tableforone.blogspot.com/2012/12/dismissals.html
I've always wondered why people have seemed so surprised to see me enter a restaurant in different cities, different countries and say "Table for One". Tuesday, December 11, 2012. It takes so many forms. Cursorily discarding a life's work. Pick up the pieces. There are too many. Treading across that expanse. Which piece will stab you. Images of who you were. Rising up from the sheets. Doesn't get any easier. You don't belong here. Home but a nebulous concept. If I could just switch it off.

She takes the shot and sighs with a smile. I am a "bad" friend for not having conceived at the same time. Does not hurt too much to contort this body. Changing shape from soft belly to extended imaginings of a soul inside. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). View my complete profile. Like Spinning Plates - Radiohead.

http://kiwicrossings.blogspot.com/2010/01/full-circle.html
I am realizing a dream. .A dream to see, .smell, eat and hear what is New Zealand. .ENJOY. Monday, January 25, 2010. The day I arrived in New Zealand, I had my head shaved by a very nice hairdresser in Auckland. To come full circle, I went back to him the day I left New Zealand. I had been growing my hair out since April and so decided to get my hair blowdried that time. When I showed up, he recognized me! March 21, 2011 at 6:38 AM. April 15, 2011 at 7:39 PM. Korean Times: E.V. -Top Ten Reasons for Being Korean
http://leita-in-korea.blogspot.com/2006/10/top-ten-reasons-for-being-korean.html
I started this blog to document the cultural experiences I have had while living and working in Seoul, South Korea. I hope I do the country justice. Thursday, October 19, 2006. EV -Top Ten Reasons for Being Korean. 1 The food is delicious; you can eat like a refugee and still not gain any weight (so true you guys! I've actually lost weight since getting here and people eat so much! 2 Can buy a new car for a couple of months' salary (apparently this was true 30 years ago, but not so much now). 8 You can p...

Korean Times: Lotus Lantern International Meditation Center

I started this blog to document the cultural experiences I have had while living and working in Seoul, South Korea. I hope I do the country justice. Sunday, August 10, 2008. Lotus Lantern International Meditation Center. I didn't want to go to a temple in Seoul, wanting to head out of the city for some fresh air. I didn't want to go too far either. Some temples provide English instruction so I decided to go to GangHwa Island, about 1 1/2 hours by bus outside of Seoul on the west coast. Our "English" spea...

I started this blog to document the cultural experiences I have had while living and working in Seoul, South Korea. I hope I do the country justice. Saturday, August 25, 2007. Seung Ah and I decided to go away on a long weekend to Jeju Island. None of us had been there before. We were pretty excited. I organized the logistical part of the trip and made our schedules, while she took care of the reservations. One of the interminable pictures taken of us. They were holding onto the reins the whole time!
