Tony's Photo Blog: Weekend away
http://tcphotosdotnet.blogspot.com/2015/06/weekend-away.html
Tuesday, June 9, 2015. I didn't have far to go to see some birds, with a pair of inquisitive Singing Honeyeaters coming close, closer, and sometimes too close. There was also a regular Nankeen Kestrel hunting between us and the beach. On the boat ramp there were the usual. Pelicans and Silver Gulls, and on the local beach, Pacific G. Ulls and a single Hooded Plover. June 9, 2015 at 10:51 PM. Looks like a great spot to visit for a while. June 10, 2015 at 8:32 PM. August 14, 2015 at 7:56 PM.

Tony's Photo Blog: June 2013

Saturday, June 29, 2013. This morning dawned bright, but chilly, with the mercury struggling to get above freezing. But Kobe and I still took our usual early morning stroll round the wetlands. The moon has almost waned to third quarter, and it wasn't till I got home that I noticed the Galah sneaking into shot! It was a bit misty, but this didn't bother the ducks, and the heavy dew made for some nice "arty" shots of the reeds and shrubs around Kaurna Wetland Park. Sunday, June 23, 2013. Other common birds...

Tony's Photo Blog: Spring birding
http://tcphotosdotnet.blogspot.com/2014/10/spring-birding.html
Friday, October 24, 2014. I managed to find a couple of hours for a quick trip out today. I birded between St Kilda and Port Gawler, just to the north of Adelaide. It was very quiet to start with, but I did happen on this little story. Once upon a time there were three White-winged Fairy-wrens, Daddy, Mummy and little baby. At Port Gawler things got better as there were a few waders about. Resident Red-kneed Dotterels and a few migrant Sharp-tailed Sandpipers. October 24, 2014 at 7:36 PM. Nice ones, Tony!

Sunday, August 24, 2014. I can't believe its been 4 months since my last post. A combination of ill health, too busy at work and at home, (and the Aussie Rules Football season! Has kept me away from the camera and the binoculars. A little further along the track I stopped for an immature Hooded Robin, and what I think is a juvenile Rufous Whistler (happy to be corrected). Just as unconfiding was a Pallid Cuckoo, about 50 metres was his limit! So this is a highly cropped image). Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).

Tony's Photo Blog: September 2014
http://tcphotosdotnet.blogspot.com/2014_09_01_archive.html
Sunday, September 14, 2014. At the end of last week, I went to Innes National Park as the South-western tip of the Yorke Peninsula. I drove the eastern then southern coastal roads, birding as I went. First stop was Clinton Conservation Park. There were 9 Caspian Terns here, along with a lone Crested Tern, some Little Black Cormorants and about 150 Red-necked Avocets on the pool. A great start! The southern coast is very rugged and ideal for wind farms as it faces the prevailing wind. The birdwatching is ...

Four in a matter of a few hours the other day. Gotta watch your step out here in the sagebrush! Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). My photography sites (Print Sales). G-Funk and The Duke. Monday, May 18, 2015. Outer Harbour - Black-faced Cormorant colony. On Sunday, I had the opportunity to join a boat trip out to the Black-faced Cormorant colony on the Outer Harbour breakwater. As we made our way to the boat, there was a lovely Rufous Night-heron, who was quite happy to pose for us. As we rounded the breakwater, we saw a few Cormorants on the water, and one flew in nicely to land in our wake. The chicks were all very well grown, and some looked bigger then the parents! Some great birding...

Mermaid House In Bluebird Canyon: August 2014
http://bluebirdcanyon.blogspot.com/2014_08_01_archive.html
Mermaid House In Bluebird Canyon. Bluebird Canyon is home to beautiful gardens in a canyon setting. The location is Laguna Beach and this is the Mermaid House. Monday, August 4, 2014. The dinner plate dahlia is taller than me. I have had to stake it twice. The garden is thriving this year. My Crepe Myrtle tree is blooming. This morning is hot and sticky. We have had rain the last three days. The weather feels like Florida not Laguna Beach. Laguna is going tropical. All this and badminton too! REPINART (h...
