Sunday, November 4, 2007. Arrived at the Holiday Inn, Dar es Salaam, Tanzania almost 24 hours to the minute our plane departed Seattle. The first leg on NWA was really nice. Each seat had it's own entertainment unit with about 25 or so movies on demand. Also music and video games (bejeweled, solitare, etc). The meals were pretty nice too. I slept for a bit but mostly watched movies or read. Amsterdam was cold and foggy when we arrived, the sun was just about to rise. Our layover was short, about 2 hrs.

Thursday, March 13, 2008. The guest apartment had some plumbing problems so now I'm down the street at the Avenida Hotel. Quite nice. That's the pool up on the roof. Saturday, March 8, 2008. Tuesday, March 4, 2008. Next on a 10.5 hour KLM flight to Johannesburg, South Africa. Slept nearly the whole flight. Checked into the hotel at about midnight. Not much sleep, but a hot shower and up at 6am to catch the 1 hour flight on South African Airlines to Maputo. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).

Thursday, December 20, 2007. Kona, HI - Amazing Encounter. Wednesday December 19th, 2007. So today, we went on our first Scuba dive of our Christmas vacation. On the second dive in an area known as Skull Cave I found a large but rather unremarkable cowrie. It was a but dull, and had some crackling, but it was a pretty good size so I brought it with me. After swimming for a few minutes I felt the tell tale plucking of a hermit crab in the shell. I flipped it over to take a look. View my complete profile.
