http://blessedwithtoomanyideas.blogspot.com/2014/05/40k-7th-ed.html
Blessed with too many ideas. Gaming blog for the hard of starting. One mans struggle to get an army finished. Sunday, 18 May 2014. So I write this on the Sunday before 7th edition comes out and I have to say meh. While I have been a big fan of 40k for over 20 years, even I have had issues where GW has taken it. So lets look at the issues of the game I have seen;. 4th ed was for me ok though some of the builds and the power gaming got a bit boring. Jumping from assault to assault made another non game.

A Painting Ape Presentation-Middenlands Finest: July 2012
http://apaintingape-middenlandsfinest.blogspot.com/2012_07_01_archive.html
A Painting Ape Presentation-Middenlands Finest. Sunday, 1 July 2012. It's been a long time since the armies of Leister, Middenland, have marched to the sound of the drums but that time is now upon us once more. So, it's been a good 8 years since I last played Fantasy (for numerous, tedious reasons) and with the new Empire book released I figured why the hell not dust the old models off and let slip the dogs of war? Plenty more of those - next set of pics will be from my first game in 8 years. I've been p...

The Mountain Of Metal. Thursday, 22 January 2015. Meridian Miniatures Interdeminsonal Kickstarter- A little review. Another Kickstarter landed on my door mat a few weeks ago, only really just got around to doing this little review. It was a very short sharp Kickstarter, low target and some good pledge levels. I went for the complitionist which gave me a tentacle monster thing, two monster hunters, some metal bits which were freebies and two stickers which is cool. Some bags full of resin and metal parts.

The Mountain Of Metal. Friday, 25 July 2014. IHMN and club night. Just a quick update for the blog, it was a very busy night at Phat Cats this week with plenty of people getting some last minute practise in for the upcoming Warmahordes ETC. Looked around some very big models and cool looking force on show etc. Me and Phil decided to play through a bit of IHMN as he had never played and was playing in the back in the 1880's game at the end of August. My FFL vs the best Scotland Yard could throw at me.

The Mountain Of Metal.: November 2014

The Mountain Of Metal. Thursday, 13 November 2014. From the Halls of the Montezumas to the Shores of Tripoli- Empress Miniatures USMC are finished. More 28mm modern stuff for you my readers, this time I finished up the USMC which I started about a 2 weeks ago before I got distracted by 2 Kickstarters landed on my door mat. I just went for a more woodland scheme on the hummer, it will make an appearance soon I think maybe as an objective point, either way it looked cool and I enjoyed painting it. After al...

The Mountain Of Metal. Thursday, 15 May 2014. UK Games Expo, Vikings and a Ship. Sharpen my axe, I'm going raiding. These are going to be making a appearance at UK Games Expo as part of are large SAGA game we are putting on. How are my boys going to go raiding well they need a ride taking inspiration from Anton and his pimped out ship. My boys need a ride also so this will be making an appearance for the game as you need more than one ship for a good sized raid. Thank for reading and Happy Painting.

The Mountain Of Metal.: June 2015
http://themountainofmetal.blogspot.com/2015_06_01_archive.html
The Mountain Of Metal. Monday, 29 June 2015. More 28mm Modern bits, Empress and Spectre. Some modern US, including heavier weapons, they are also wearing a generic woodland camo pattern which probably isn't 100% accurate but I don't really mind or worry to much. These are all Empress models and were as usual really good to paint. Some UKSF or SAS, these are a mix of Empress and Spectre, the two go together really well and its worth looking at both companies as the complement each other really well. So I ...
