A little nuts!!: February 2011
http://nuttypeeps.blogspot.com/2011_02_01_archive.html
It's all about finding my creative soul.a work in progress. Saturday, February 26, 2011. Recipes from the past. For a while now I have been wanting to make Oatmeal cookies. DH has had a craving for them and all the ones at stores and bakeries seem to always be Oatmeal and? In otherwards with raisins, choco.chips, nuts etc. WellI lucked out. A neatly typed recipe for Oatmeal Cookies using milk and no eggs was well worn and stained, thereby proving it to be one of her regulars for the cookie jar! I usually...

http://nuttypeeps.blogspot.com/2012/07/so-dh-and-i-decided-to-do-something.html
It's all about finding my creative soul.a work in progress. Sunday, July 29, 2012. So DH and I decided to do something a little different for a meal yesterday. Normally we are fairly conservative.well, DH is conservative, I tend to be a little more adventuresome at times. Anyway.our local supermarket had a special on pork back ribs and as I had seen a few rib recipes and DH had sampled some ribs recently, we decided that we would bite the bullet and try BBQ'ing our own. They were quite delicious and very...

A little nuts!!: April 2011
http://nuttypeeps.blogspot.com/2011_04_01_archive.html
It's all about finding my creative soul.a work in progress. Saturday, April 02, 2011. It's amazing sometimes how, when you lose someone, random memories come flooding back. I lost a dear friend last week.an almost 40 year friendship. and since then I've been flooded with memories of our times together.and I don't think there is one memory that I would want to erase. I think it's a coping mechanism.I still grieve.but the grief is peppered with smiles as I remember good times. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).

A little nuts!!: July 2010
http://nuttypeeps.blogspot.com/2010_07_01_archive.html
It's all about finding my creative soul.a work in progress. Monday, July 26, 2010. There are two herbs which are my all time favourites.basil and lavender. Today's post is about lavender. Strangely enough, lavender perfume tends to make people think of England, but there are also many lavender farms in France and of course North America.along with a myriad of varieties of lavender. And Raspberry Lavender Vinegar (of which I have no link because it's something I do out of my head. You then store them in a...

A little nuts!!: A Gander around the Garden
http://nuttypeeps.blogspot.com/2014/07/a-gander-around-garden.html
It's all about finding my creative soul.a work in progress. Sunday, July 13, 2014. A Gander around the Garden. I came up with a few pics that show the best of our back yard garden. I tend to focus on the back yard, as the front yard is a disaster except for three planters which are looking pretty good. In any case.back to the rear end of the property.our sanctuary during the summer. I have previously posted about this.but it's always fun to revisit. Plants and a vegetable and herb garden. Those are wine ...

A little nuts!!: September 2010
http://nuttypeeps.blogspot.com/2010_09_01_archive.html
It's all about finding my creative soul.a work in progress. Wednesday, September 01, 2010. Recently, I had to clear some rhubarb from my garden as it was overshadowing my basil and well.we know how important my basil is to me! Wellstored the stalks in the fridge wrapped in a damp tea towel until I solved the problem of what to do with them . I went online and typed in Rhubarb recipes and came up with a website called The Rhubarb Compendium. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Coat a 9x13-inch baking pan wit...

A little nuts!!: Basil Time!!! Can you smell it??
http://nuttypeeps.blogspot.com/2011/10/basil-time-can-you-smell-it.html
It's all about finding my creative soul.a work in progress. Wednesday, October 12, 2011. Can you smell it? And I have done that. Picked Basil - unsorted.this is about 1/3 done. I usually pick pretty much everything and then go through it all piece by piece and separate the good stuff from stems and the tatty stuff which I set aside for basil broth. What is basil broth you ask? Here is the sorted basil (about 1/3 done). And here are 1/3 of the basil stems and tatty leaves. Me, myself and I.

http://nuttypeeps.blogspot.com/2014/07/getting-back-into-itwith-joy.html
It's all about finding my creative soul.a work in progress. Wednesday, July 09, 2014. Getting back into it.with joy. It's been a long time hasn't it? But I feel that it's time I got back to the blogging habit.at least for this blog. I have another blog, more health oriented (my health! But I feel that I need to get back to the photographs and observations of this blog. I was rereading portions of it recently and realized that it was something I had enjoyed doing very much. And another son for J and his w...
