Road to Joy: Oh Kristen
http://danielelliottbeyer.blogspot.com/2010/05/oh-kristen.html
The Search, Appreciation and Reflection. Sunday, May 9, 2010. Oh Kristen, in June you’ll have a boy. Brought light into our world. It’s getting warm now. The days, they grow so long. I sit by the window. Grateful for the sun. Yes that’s what you give me. Oh Kristen, we live to love each day. The strength of family. It’s getting calm now. The nights, they grow so still. We get fast like train cars. But we break it down. Yea that’s what pleases me. Oh Kristen, in June you’ll be a mom. Trip to end of world.

The Search, Appreciation and Reflection. Thursday, February 28, 2008. This is a list of musical albums that I purchased in 2007. Wilco create a gorgeous rock n roll record. The more I listen to this album, the more I enjoy it. Highly recommended for those who think that dual guitar is antiquated. Grace Potter and the Nocturnals. Sarah Borges and the Broken Singles. Diamonds in the Dark. The Historical Conquests of Josh Ritter. Forgive this album for having the most arrogant title in the history of Americ...

Road to Joy: The Wild Hunt
http://danielelliottbeyer.blogspot.com/2009/12/wild-hunt.html
The Search, Appreciation and Reflection. Monday, December 21, 2009. Amidst a night of merriment. I stepped outside to breathe the autumn air. I heard the dogs bark in the woods. Riders on the oldest, darkest trail. I felt the shiver. I raised my glass. The wild hunt running through the land. On any cold November night. Through Yuletide when the ground is brown and bare. The raging host runs through the wood. With dogs, and knights, and horsemen on his trail. I felt the shiver. I raised my glass.

The Search, Appreciation and Reflection. Thursday, June 18, 2009. Old Forge Brewery, Danville Pennsylvania. All in all, I had a great experience on my second visit to the Old Forge Brewing Company. What makes the Old Forge unique is its commitment to locally produced food and hand-crafted products. So, drive to Danville, take a downtown stroll and enjoy local goodness at its best. Road to Joy: January 2009
http://danielelliottbeyer.blogspot.com/2009_01_01_archive.html
The Search, Appreciation and Reflection. Sunday, January 25, 2009. 2008 Year in Review. Here are my favorite records of 2008. They added another classic recording to their studio library. Buy this record and feel the joy. Summer. Was released in physical form on New Years Day 2008. Following several records full of equal parts weird, cool and frustrating experimentation, Radiohead crafted a beautiful record that blooms with repeated listening. Enlightening music for the dark nights of winter.

Road to Joy: From Good Homes Reunion
http://danielelliottbeyer.blogspot.com/2010/01/winter-break.html
The Search, Appreciation and Reflection. Sunday, January 3, 2010. From Good Homes Reunion. December 18-19, 2009. Wellmont Theater, Montclair, New Jersey. From Good Homes are from northwest New Jersey. They went on hiatus in 1999 after a long, successful career as a nationally touring band. They reunited in December 2009 for a two night run at the Wellmont Theater in Montclair, New Jersey. Well, the beauty of December 18 was that it was just as good, maybe better than 1999. From Good Homes, "Broken Road".

The Search, Appreciation and Reflection. Wednesday, January 23, 2008. The Road to Jim Thorpe 12-30-07. As we climbed out of New Jersey, crossed the Delaware Water Gap and climbed into the Pocono Mountains, we learned that a winter storm was approaching. Four to six inches of snow was forecast for Jim Thorpe. As we drove under darkening sky and clouds, snow and ice began to fall. Railroad Earth in Jim Thorpe, Pennsylania was sure to be a memorable occasion. Labels: New Years 2008. Tuesday, January 22, 2008.

Road to Joy: Frosty Valley
http://danielelliottbeyer.blogspot.com/2009/12/frosty-valley.html
The Search, Appreciation and Reflection. Saturday, December 12, 2009. I’ve got a guitar, but I don’t know how to play. I’ve got all the words, but no melody. Yea, I’m out of tune,. So out of tune. I’m working in a box and I watch what I say. I need a window and some privacy. Yea, I need space,. Just a little space. So I’m getting out of bed and I’m going back to work. I’ve got a drive, up through the valley. I hear strings,. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). View my complete profile.
