The biome looks alot like a plain whithout trees. In the tundra region Short grasses, flowers, and grass-like sedges, along with covers of mosses and lichens are the dominate forms of vegetation in the tundra. Physical landscape/habitat (including weather). During the short summer, the tundra has a variety of plants! Most tundra plants, such as this one, are called cushion plants. That means they grow in a low-tight clump and look like a little cushion. Cushion plants are made popular in the tundra where their growth habits helps protect them from the cold. The only tree that grows in the Tundra is the dwarf willow Tree. It grows to a maximum of four inches tall. Dwarf willow ( Only grows to be 4 inches tall ).

The Arctic tundra is located at the top of the world - around the north pole. In the Tundra the soil is usualy frozen. As the sea freezes, the salt rises to the surface as crystals called ice flowers. Water is unavalable during most of the year. In the summer months, the sun shines all the time, even at midnight.
