Tyner's Photography

The following is a collection of musings about photography to complement my Flickr. Tuesday, September 16, 2008. Could I do it? Could I photograph a wedding? I have been meaning to write a post on my first wedding photography experience for some time but for one reason or another I put it off. Well finally and mostly motivated by what I read in online forums I decided to write this post. I'm not sure what it is like in other photography forums but if you hangout in Flickr groups, I'm looking at you.

Tyner's Photography: Digital prints: Easy, right?

http://tynersphotography.blogspot.com/2008/04/digital-prints-easy-right.html

The following is a collection of musings about photography to complement my Flickr. Tuesday, April 29, 2008. Digital prints: Easy, right? It is fairly typical these days to post our digital images directly to a photo sharing site such as Flickr, Zoomer, pbase, (and the list goes on) and forgo the process of getting them printed. And why shouldn't you? It is the fast way to share your photography with the world. After all your photography is meant to be seen! Suppose the height of 2336 pixel is maintained...

Tyner's Photography: SX-70: A new life

http://tynersphotography.blogspot.com/2008/01/sx-70-new-life.html

The following is a collection of musings about photography to complement my Flickr. Monday, January 14, 2008. SX-70: A new life. Both photos taken with a 17-40f4L, ISO 400, f/6.3, 1/30 and combined in Photoshop. 1) 580ex, master, on camera, M 1/32, diffused through a paper towel, from left since the camera was vertical;. 2) 430ex, slave, triggered by 580ex, M 1/16, bounced into a silver umbrella, above and to camera right. Was not any good. The clean solution involves modifying the sx-70's exposure circui...

Tyner's Photography: A road to flash photography

http://tynersphotography.blogspot.com/2007/01/road-to-flash-photography.html

The following is a collection of musings about photography to complement my Flickr. Friday, January 05, 2007. A road to flash photography. For the last year and a half I have been purely an available light photographer. In low light I was shooting at a high ISO with fast/large aperture lenses (also very expensive) and loving it. The only problem was my. Canon 50 mm f/1.4 USM. Canon 70-200 f/2.8 L USM,. Canon 100mm f/2.8 USM macro. Are all too long for general indoor use and my. Canon 17-40mm f/4 L USM.

Tyner's Photography: Point and shoot at night

http://tynersphotography.blogspot.com/2007/01/point-and-shoot-at-night.html

The following is a collection of musings about photography to complement my Flickr. Thursday, January 04, 2007. Point and shoot at night. On the way to. Tonight I experimented with my Sony DSCP10 (point and shoot) at night. Yes this camera is completely inferior to my 20D and can in no way compete against its smooth high ISOs together with a fast lens at night. However the P10 is not totally useless at night; it just takes a little more effort. Left: 1/13, f/2.8, 7.9 mm, ISO 400. The next step is to zoom...

Climbing log: March 2013

http://scalingrock.blogspot.com/2013_03_01_archive.html

Sunday, March 31, 2013. I was out at Home Cliff over the weekend. Here are a couple photos of the work done, to prevent further erosion, by the NCC at the end of last season. As for climbing, the weather was fantastic and the rock was warm. We lead up "one up", Peggy and Direttissisma. Unfortunately, in my opinion, Peggy has been left in a mess. Three fixed slings;. Two fixed hexes/chocks of some sort; and. Worst of all there are two new pitons pounded in. Friday, March 1, 2013. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).

I seemed to have more energy than I expected and managed to climb 4 routes. L'ecaille du dragon 5.8, 3 bolts and gear 25m - Definitely an aesthetic climb and a nice warm-up with a fun mantle onto the top of the flake. La Griffon 5.9-, 3 bolts, 25m - I climbed this on TR. Tuesday, May 7, 2013. Another short post . Artagnan 5.10c: A super fun off-width climb that protects with larger gear as you get higher. I used two #4s but a #5 would have been easier to place without the need to put the cams so deep in the crack. No onsight here, a fight to the top for sure. Http:/ www.flickr.com/photos/40445678@N00/8714590311/in/photostream/. Porthos 5.9 : This climb was a wet mess, I still got the onsight though. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Local: Ottawa - Gatineau. It felt good to hit the halfway mark in my goal so early on. I think I will take it easier during Wednesday session so I don't over do it. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). A nice easy 3-star finger crack with hard slab climbs on either side. After leading up Deux Ètoiles I spent some time on TR working the slab on climbers left, Cristal 5.11c. The crux is just below the second bolt at about the 3/4 mark on the climb. Tuesday, October 8, 2013. Another shot at the Fly. Thursday, October 3, 2013. Fall is here and close to gone.

The Sunday Night Buttermilk Waltz | The Life & Times of the Tyners

The Sunday Night Buttermilk Waltz. The Life and Times of the Tyners. Who would have thunk? March 18, 2010. Ever wondered how to get the inside of your dishwasher all sparkly and clean? Take one packet of lemon Kool-Aid, add it in as you would your detergent, and run it through a wash cycle. Lemon Kool-Aid, sans sugar, is just a highly concentrated dose of citric acid. The citric acid will eat away all the gunk leaving you with a lemony fresh and sparkly dishwasher! I promised to post more… I lied! So all...

The Tyner's 2007 ROAD TRIP! Thursday, November 15, 2007. More Family, Friends, Fabulous scenery and (of course) Football. From Tennessee we headed to Louisiana via the Natchez Trace Parkway. The Nachez Trace was absolutely beautiful! After the swamp tour we said our good byes and headed out via the lower 9th ward. Now you. Mother. Very, very sad! 8230;Just so sad. Another cool thing about Texas is that it wins the prize on our trip for the most wildlife. Our first night we stayed in San Antonio at a ...
