Thursday, July 17, 2014. Last week marked our annual vacation to Joshua's grandparents' home on Bond Lake, and what a difference a year makes! This year certainly was more relaxing and fun with Forrest in the water. We shared our week with Joshua's cousin Nick and his wife Nicole and three children. Sunday, June 1, 2014. As agreed at Christmas, we took our family vacation last week. (Fewer presents from Dad and Mom in exchange for some quality time together.). Our first stop was the Dessert Botanical Gardens for a family picture. I think this group shot turned out pretty well, considering we from Illinois were in mild shock given the 100 degree temperature at 9:00 in the morning. Tuesday, April 28, 2015. Kati and Ryan's Wedding. Last weekend was the much-anticipated wedding! We flew out to Phoenix to celebrate and enjoy a long weekend with Kati and Ryan. Here are a few pictures until we see the professional ones. Now for the big move on Sunday. The house is in mid-pack-up and a complete mess. The Tiger Striped Doc. Sunday, November 27, 2011. The temperature has dropped, Jay Cutler has a broken thumb, and I am on FMS. And still its better than MNPS! So Family Medicine Service has begun. I am actually already a week down. 25% through with it. 28 day rotations tend to fly by. The Thanksgiving holiday was a large part of that. Left us with four straight days of half days. The Tiger Striped Doc. Tuesday, December 13, 2011. So what is the 11th commandment? Thou Shalt not Whine. That said, I think its a great rule to live by. Especially here in the US. Whining, I think is a function of a sense of entitlement. After all, one cannot complain unless one feels that he/she is entitled to something better. And really, I live a pretty good life. 0530 mornings and everything included, it ain't a bad gig. And whining only belittles myself. So no more whining! Or less anyway ;).
