Life on the Road. May 10, 2016. Resident mailboxes along the Big Sur highway, the mailboxes of my dreams. Alone again, I watched two tiny lizards dance and mate in the dry grass below my feet. If you think it’s hard to find your soulmate, try finding another two inch reptile among the hundreds of square miles of Big Sur forest. Right on time, the Big Sur fog rolled onto the coast around 5pm. What to do with all this glorious stillness? The Big Sur fog rolls in every day. Bixby Bridge in the morning.
