The Peregrine Falcon Academy: January 2015
http://feistyfalcons.blogspot.com/2015_01_01_archive.html
Sunday, January 25, 2015. Cool Things This Week. We are currently obsessed with They Might Be Giant's Here Comes Science album. It's playing nonstop in the car these days. D watched a bunch of homemade lego star wars stop-action films people have posted on youtube, then made a new one of his own. The weather has been absolutely gorgeous the past week, and so we've spent a lot of time out at parks and playgrounds taking advantage of it. D figured out pumping! We found a fun book. The Peregrine Falcon Academy: May 2015
http://feistyfalcons.blogspot.com/2015_05_01_archive.html
Thursday, May 28, 2015. I was thinking the other day about a lot of the common complaints made about video games and tv, reasons given for why they are "bad for you," and how many of them also apply to (.drum roll.) reading, an activity that almost everyone agrees is Very Good For You. And so I started writing a tongue-in-cheek pearl-clutching post about it in my head. Something along the lines of. I mean, at least when kids are watching TV or playing a game it's usually with other people. That CAN'T be ...

Plot 55: being family
http://plotfiftyfive.blogspot.com/2015/05/being-family.html
Friday, May 22, 2015. Our spring has been busy: finishing, celebrating, visiting, living. Between the Spring Concert for Calliope, the women's choir Eliza and I sing with, and a trip up to New Jersey for me, we thought we'd squeeze in two days seeing two aunts, two uncles, a grampa, a great aunt, my cousins and my mom (shoo! It could not have been a more peaceful place to gather. Two tauruses in a pod. This post is number one thousand. I am astounded. Thank you for being here! May 22, 2015 at 4:48 PM.

Exploring the extraordinary relationship between personal and planetary well-being. Dpp ’11: Messy & Busy. December 7, 2011. Middot; 10 comments. Like this photo, but I didn’t want to post it. I like it because it reflects a very real part of our everyday: messy and busy. If you look closely you’ll find Christmas in the photo, but you’ll also find Stone’s old He-man figures from when he was a kid and half-full can of unflavored seltzer. I know there is an unintended danger that happens when we fill our l...

Four Joyful Pixies: June 2011
http://threejoyfulpixies.blogspot.com/2011_06_01_archive.html
Wednesday, 29 June 2011. We have stayed outdoors for whole days this week as it has been too hot to do anything other than hide beneath the leafy trees. We are very grateful for trees this week. We made tea outdoors too, using the clay bread oven on the camp site. When it gets hot enough it cooks pizza in one minute. Jahara had milk while the rest of us ate pizza. Whilst the pizza was cooking, Mia, Tarka and Willow tried to master cartwheels and handstands and played frisbee. Monday, 20 June 2011. Yester...
