March 31, 2015. Brooke had her 11th birthday last week. I can hardly believe she is that old and at the same time she seems older than that. I feel like I have known her forever. On her birthday we were in Disneyland for spring break, so we had to do cake and ice cream almost a week late. She also has decided to try her hand at "selfies" recently. I think she will be a pro in no time. Parker had his 9th birthday back in January. It was a good day. He did great in the races and came in third place overall.

November 20, 2014. To celebrate Veteran's Day this year, our elementary school created a wall of honor to show all of the family members of student's who had served or are serving in the military. It was an impressive sight. And my children were thrilled to add members of our family to the wall. And Parker wrote a poem that was on display. It was a great day! July 26, 2015. Orange" You Glad It's Summer! The last day of school seemed to come quickly this year. The kids all did well and once again had great teachers which makes school so much better. The last day was overcast, rainy, and only about 65 degrees. It was great! Garrett and Mrs. Baltazar. Parker and Mrs. Sunde. Brooke and Mrs. Tapsfield. I went with the "orange" theme for our end of school celebration. We had orange soda, orange hula hoops, orange bubbles, and an orange silly sting fight.

September 24, 2014. Would that be the fall equivalent of spring has sprung? I can't believe it was already time for our annual fall leaf drive into the mountains. But, wow, what a drive! March 31, 2015. Parker had his 9th birthday back in January. It was a good day. Complete with a requested tiger cake. This boy loves animals! In fact all he wanted for his birthday was a pet. And we delivered. He is now the proud owner of two pet rats (which actually make great pets, despite my reservations about rodents.). He did great in the races and came in third place overall. He was very proud of his Lego car. And we were very proud of him. I love the cake you made! April 5, 2015 at 8:21 PM.

July 26, 2015. We usually make it to the zoo about once a year. This time we were able to go with our friends the Briggs who moved to Nevada about 2 years ago. It was good to see them again. July 21, 2014. Up on the Roof. Last month Craig and I were able to go see James Taylor at Red Rocks. We were in the very back of the amphitheater, but we didn't mind. It was a full house - er - mountain. But with the help of the giant screens next to the stage, we still saw James. He is a great performer and we loved the concert. May 22, 2014. This was the last time I went to watch field day with Garrett by my side. Next year he will be participating instead. Weird to think about. He gets really bored watching the kids all day, so this year I gave him control of the camera to keep him occupied. He loved that and got some fun pictures along the way. He even made sure to get a selfie. Love this boy! I still can't believe he will be in school full time this fall. What am I going to do with myself? She Did It Again. May 2, 2014.
