Installed all around Vooruit magnificent 1913 building. Eva De Groote had invited me to moderate a couple of Fricties Salons. That’s how i finally got to have dinner with one of my heroes. Saw a performance of Reverend Billy.

Book review – The Cruel Radiance: Photography and Political Violence – We Make Money Not Art

December 29, 2010. Book review – The Cruel Radiance:. Photography and Political Violence. Publisher University of Chicago Press. Since the early days of photography, critics have told us that photos of political violence–of torture, mutilation, and death–are exploitative, deceitful, even pornographic. To look at these images is voyeuristic; to turn away is a gesture of respect. Mola and Yoka, victims of atrocities committed in the Belgian Congo circa 1905. Anti-Slavery International. A marriage of my love for sports and photography. Monday, August 16, 2010.
