Steve is an artist, sculptor and teacher. His work is inspired by his love of medieval English carving and his active Christian faith. He has become well known for his relief carving and is in demand to teach practical carving workshops for adults, school children and teenagers. Since 2009 he has been involved in a project to establish a christian sculpture trail across the UK from East to West - the Via Beata.

Steve trained at Portsmouth and moved to Norfolk in the mid seventies to teach art and set up his studio. Alongside his own work as a sculptor and woodcarver, he has taught part-time in a number of schools across the County of Norfolk. He has conducted numerous carving and sculpture workshops for schools, local authorities and other organizations. He has made many of the carved signs for villages throughout East Anglia and further afield. Steve is also the author of the Brother Egbert Stories:.
