The Port Washington Garden Club was established in December 1932 to promote gardening and beautify the City of Port Washington. In the early the years, the club sponsored flower shows, and organized gardening classes and seminars. Its holiday decorating contest was popular for decades. Seasonal garden awards are also offered to highlight noteworthy gardens around the city.
