We've been so busy with school, work, volunteering etc that we just didn't have time to update these! Here's a few photos as we started fifth grade (Luke) and second grade (Sean). They were excited and nervous to get back to school but jumped right in and are loving their teachers and classrooms! SO happy to hear that! Two boys in the AM. One Girl in Austin.

Today a group of bloggers, Facebook families and members of the autism and special needs communities got online to show support and love for Mikaela Lynch and her family. Here's a link. To the story however just as everyone was signing up to post, it's turned into something more, as two other stories of children with autism wandered this week and tragically died. It can't happen again.

Sunday, March 06, 2011. More cartoons turning real. We finally have real steel stairs off the back porch. This is one of the items I told Mike, the contractor, "I'm going to build them myself." 2 years later. they're done. I'm going to call them The Charlie Memorial Staircase - designed to be easy on old hips. Cool but wheres the SPAM? NiceJess told me about these. They turned out great! I was just thinking of you guys and checked your blog to see if there was any Italy stuff since I am not on facebook.
