Summer Break Time: Happy Mother's Day
http://disummerbreak.blogspot.com/2011/05/happy-mothers-day.html
Saturday, May 7, 2011. Looks like momma coyote is nursing some pups somewhere in the woods. I wonder how long it will be before she brings them out to play. Last weekend we saw a redwing blackbird attacking this red-tailed hawk. It was almost sitting on top of him. Once I got the camera out I figured out that it must have been the snake that the blackbird wanted. . Wow Mama coyote is beautiful! And what a good use for a snake.lunch for a hawk. Summer Break Time: July 2009
http://disummerbreak.blogspot.com/2009_07_01_archive.html
Sunday, July 26, 2009. Summer time is here. This is one of the flycatchers we have around here. I believe it is a Western Wood Pewee. Of course the deer had to show off her little ones too. The plant with the red flowers is in full bloom and so the rufous hummingbird is very excited and sticks around in the backyard. It is fun to watch them and I get "buzzed" quite often. Saturday, February 12, 2011. Coyotes are out during the day! I saw three coyotes in the backyard last weekend. This little deer came right up to the window to see what was in the house. We went to Ridgefield and did the "bird whisper" and this kestrel came to see what we were doing. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). View my complete profile. Coyotes are out during the day!

Maiden's Maniacal Meanderings: November 2008
http://maidensmaniacalmeanderings.blogspot.com/2008_11_01_archive.html
Sunday, November 2, 2008. Halloween is one of the greatest holidays. I love to take the children out trick or treating and just people watch. It fascinates me to see the different costumes, the age range of trick or treaters and to see if I can discern what trends correlate to other trends. For example, this year there were twice as many people out trick or treating than I've seen in the 7 years we've lived in this house. I identified several variables, some of which were:. New housing built in the area.

Monday, October 27, 2008. Boy does time fly when you're having fun! Back to school and my poor blog goes by the wayside. Thank goodness I have great friends like Pupp to point out to me that I'm a big slacker butt. So what have I been up to? Work, work, and more work of course! We just finished up our weather unit in the classroom so of course we topped it off with a field trip to the pumpkin patch and the water treatment plant. We went to the COOLEST pumpkin patch in the entire world!

Maiden's Maniacal Meanderings: Spring Break Challenge
http://maidensmaniacalmeanderings.blogspot.com/2009/03/spring-break-challenge.html
Sunday, March 22, 2009. For spring break this year I am sticking fairly close to home. My plan is spend each day cleaning a little, boxing a lot, and generally relaxing. I have challenged myself to get out and find at least one new box each day and to plant at least one box each day. For my faithful blog readers, one planted box each day will be exclusively available here. I also planted a box today. Since I only planted one, it will appear only here. Therapy Dogs Touch Lives.
