101 Days and Nights. News from the North Shore of Massachusetts. Monday, October 8, 2012. Fair Week 2013 Part I–The Parade. Last Saturday, September 29th was the annual Topsfield Fair Parade. Greg and I try to get to it when we can. The sky was gray and overcast with misting but any serious rain held off. There were plenty of local fire trucks current and from the past. The pumpkin in this truck was big, but not the winner. Greg and Diane Hayden. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Greg and Diane Hayden.

101 Days and Nights: March 2012
http://101daysandnights.blogspot.com/2012_03_01_archive.html
101 Days and Nights. News from the North Shore of Massachusetts. Wednesday, March 28, 2012. March 11th was our or should I say Mark’s annual burn. We had an exceptionally large pile this year because of the recent tree removal. I guess it’s a guy thing but Mark really seems to enjoy this. Too bad we don’t have a fireplace. Yard work is always more fun when the toys get involved. As a side note, yes I did. Greg and Diane Hayden. Links to this post. Monday, March 19, 2012. We’ve driven by this monume...

Mark is at the right with his back to us. Sheila is in front of Kelsey. A wonderful dinner was enjoyed by all good conversation and good food. Greg and Diane Hayden. Greg and Diane Hayden.

101 Days and Nights. News from the North Shore of Massachusetts. Sunday, August 5, 2012. Thursday the 2nd, Greg and I went to the East Coast Classic Drum Corp Show with Derek and his girlfriend, Leah. It was a fantastic show. It was warm, in the high 80’s and these kids ages 21 and under competed in full uniforms. Truly amazing. The group above and below is the senior Boston Crusader's. There are a few groups that you can play in when you age out but they do not compete. You may remember that Derek was a...

Hopefully I can slowly get caught up so be patient with me. This activity took place the first weekend in April. Sad to say the above was the before. It will be nice to have the extra space. 101 Days and Nights: September 2012

101 Days and Nights. News from the North Shore of Massachusetts. Sunday, September 23, 2012. The Living Room Project. The barn project is pretty much done so we’re on to the next one. We’ve decided we need a home office more than a living room. This is the wall we’re working on before we started. The only thing missing is the beat up love seat. I have always had a love affair with granite. We got a very good deal on the sample below. It’s called Black Galaxy and has flecks of copper through...We have dec...

101 Days and Nights: February 2012

101 Days and Nights. News from the North Shore of Massachusetts. Wednesday, February 29, 2012. Making Space for the New Barn. It always amazes me when we have trees removed that once they’re gone I hardly notice the difference because our property is so heavily wooded. They did open the skyline up a little and we’ll appreciate less leaves to rake in the fall. Greg’s 4 wheeler really helped with the cleanup. Mark’s buddy enjoyed riding around on it too. 101 Days and Nights. News from the North Shore of Massachusetts. Monday, May 7, 2012. Walk Around the Yard. Every other year we get an order of red hemlock delivered. Above is the pile just after we started. It was 5 cubic yards, below is what was left. This was the first year we did it all in one day. It helps to have Mark pushing us along. He’s amassed a supply of good tools and excellent skills. Below is the added driveway extension. It has stone as its base and easily parks 3 vehicles. I hope...Subsc...
