Mountain Memories: February 2015

Friday, February 27, 2015. Going for a Walk. The best antidote for a severe case of cabin fever is to head outside. The weather has been unseasonably warm here and our snow fled in record time. It all added up to a perfect opportunity to go for a walk! The lake still had it's layer of ice but that was about the only hint it was still winter. The sun felt lovely, even if the shade was still a touch chilly. Trooping through the woods. To a sunny beach. Where the rocks proved irresistible! Somewhere I'm sur...

the-boobear-times: Where is my village?
http://the-boobear-times.blogspot.com/2011/07/where-is-my-village.html
Saturday, July 23, 2011. Where is my village? You know how they say it takes a village to raise a child? I would have to say I agree, but I'm not sure what happened to mine. I feel so alone most of the time. There are people for me to talk to, but there is no other pair of hands to help me. Oh Brandy, I cant say I understand, but I can say that I admire your strength and your dedication to Alexa. I think its important that you continue to enjoy your creative outlet and are able to take time just for ...

the-boobear-times: April 2010
http://the-boobear-times.blogspot.com/2010_04_01_archive.html
Friday, April 23, 2010. Some of the big news: Alexa is toilet trained! We spent two weeks working on it very hard, but now she really seems to have it. She still wears pull-ups at night, and she has an accident every 2-3 days, but she wears underwear all day every day, and her accidents are always at home, which tells me they are actually within her control. I made her another pair of Unmentionables (that's the name of the pattern for these pants.). Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Brandyann (my etsy shop).

the-boobear-times: March 2010
http://the-boobear-times.blogspot.com/2010_03_01_archive.html
Monday, March 1, 2010. A few more fun February photos. Alexa is really great at riding her tricycle now. She routinely rides in a mile long circle around our neighborhood. She goes very fast sometime too. It seems like it took a year or two to get to this point, so we are really proud of her. How often have you seen a really great milk moustache? I am again trying to let her hair grow out. It is really cute in pigtails! We played at the park a bit before the long car ride home. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).

So thankful for these lovely kiddos who did their best to grin even in the bright sunlight.(:. Fishing in the Lily Pads. Logan turned his hat to shade his face and it stayed that way. Cabin Fever: Up in Smoke
http://cedarshack.blogspot.com/2013/03/up-in-smoke.html
I don't know the key to success, but the key to failure is trying to please everyone. Bill Cosby. Sunday, March 17, 2013. The demolition occurred yesterday. Dad started the process and Scott took great pleasure in lighting the mess on fire. Now that the trailer has been "gutted" (really don't like that word) - we can begin the construction phase. As you may guess, I am considering paint colors and floor plans. We are planning to "peak" the roof the entire length so that will allow 2 sleeping lofts.

Tuesday, July 5, 2011. Waffle Stomping Fire Roasted Vertical Breakfast. One must first become Vertical, then make the fire. Out comes the frozen fruit and bacon, sitting by the fire to thaw out. Then comes the fairly long chore of whipping cream with a hand beater. Takes awhile. Friday, July 1, 2011. Wow, I love them! Beth, 2E,...
