Jan Wanetick's Adventures. December 10, 2016. I must give a recap of our trip these last few days. By the way, wifi is terrible, so who knows when you will receive these posts. I forgot to mention the most exciting part of Mumbai. We spent a day visiting the world’s largest outdoor laundry. 6000 people work at it. It is truly amazing the efficiency and organization of it. It is known for having the Largest temple in South India(Meenakshi Amman). My hotel was terrible, the roads were muddy, I saw what I needed to see! I decided to head to Pondicherry. As most of you are aware, along with being terribly poor, girls being raped, and women having absolutely no control over their lives. And yes, even in these villages the caste system is very prevalent. A community center has been started by a lutheran(I think) pastor, his wife and other community members.
