A String of Purls: October 2014
http://astringofpurlsnc.blogspot.com/2014_10_01_archive.html
A String of Purls. Tuesday, October 28, 2014. And as I read it this morning, I was reminded why I blog. I needed a reminder today of slowing down and bring present in the moments God has created for me. I need to document our lives so that I can be reminded of all that we have together, what He has allowed us to share as a family. So, this is a long. Post on what we've been up to for the past 2 weeks, but I know I'll be excited to read it a year from now to see how much we've grown and changed. Brent got...

A String of Purls: Graduation 2015
http://astringofpurlsnc.blogspot.com/2015/05/graduation-2015.html
A String of Purls. Wednesday, May 6, 2015. Every late spring, I get a cold.I can't complain too much since I escaped winter without getting the flu or any other awful germs that go around. But summer colds are the worst. Luckily, I was not sick over the weekend, so I was able to celebrate Peace's graduation. I am immensely proud of all my students, and am blessed to get to work with some of the smartest and most wonderful of them on campus. It wouldn't be a Peace graduation without getting in the fountain.

A String of Purls: A whole lot of randomness...
http://astringofpurlsnc.blogspot.com/2015/05/a-whole-lot-of-randomness.html
A String of Purls. Tuesday, May 12, 2015. A whole lot of randomness. Just a snippet of life these days. Last week was Teacher Appreciation week, and I admit, I was not on top of it this year. I wish I could afford to give Emma's teachers all something really special because I truly am sooo thankful for the awesome care they give Emma.but ironically, I am paying for daycare.which means I have no money. (If you don't know, good daycare is outrageous.just sayin.). I stuffed it all inside, and wallah! Emma a...

A String of Purls: Mother's Day 2015
http://astringofpurlsnc.blogspot.com/2015/05/mothers-day-2015.html
A String of Purls. Sunday, May 10, 2015. This year's Mother's Day was perfectly imperfect.just what motherhood is all about. Embracing the chaotic moments that one by one seem impossible and awful, but all together make life lovely and beautiful. Sunday morning, Brent gave me this card.which still makes me crack up! We headed to church and Brent was awesome all day - I barely had to do anything - which is exactly what this day should be like! Jesus take the wheel. You never want to hear those words.

A String of Purls: November 2014
http://astringofpurlsnc.blogspot.com/2014_11_01_archive.html
A String of Purls. Wednesday, November 19, 2014. I LOVE cold weather. I always joke that I was born in the wrong part of the country. I long for winter.REAL winter.you know, where it snows instead of is rainy and 40 degrees? I am hoping with this trend that I will get my wish this year.I can not believe how cold it has been, but I am not complaining at all! I made her pose by the Christmas tree at the store (can we just stop for a minute and talk about how cute her outfit is? Yes, I picked it out for her!

A String of Purls: Life in pictures
http://astringofpurlsnc.blogspot.com/2015/05/life-in-pictures.html
A String of Purls. Thursday, May 7, 2015. Despite being sick, we are still managing to take TONS of pictures daily:). Here's our life in pictures. Emma loves to sit on my lap and eat dinner together on the floor in the living room (don't judge.sometimes the table just won't do.). Emma is loving the giant rock pile in our driveway.and plays with it non-stop. I, however, am ready for it to be gone. Morning sick selfie.I have the cold from hell.Emma could be getting it too. A String of Purls: February 2015
http://astringofpurlsnc.blogspot.com/2015_02_01_archive.html
A String of Purls. Thursday, February 26, 2015. Snow, snow, and MORE snow. I won't complain yet, but we have had three snow storms in the last 2 weeks. Don't laugh.I know they weren't really "storms" but it was snow to us southerners. I really enjoy snow and the cold, but the change in regular schedules is really starting to throw Emma and I off our routine. Not to mention that Brent never gets a snow day.so he's not home to enjoy it with us much:(. I also made Brent take us to Target for a few items and...

A String of Purls: #loser
http://astringofpurlsnc.blogspot.com/2015/05/loser.html
A String of Purls. Monday, May 18, 2015. It's been a LLLLOOOOONNNNNNNGGGGGG 2 weeks. I feel like anything that could go wrong, has. And I know that's not entirely true.but let's make a list, shall we? One night this week, she literally almost kicked her door down. She even cut her finger somehow in the the tamtrum. It was bad.like neighbors might call the cops bad. I'm hoping it ends soon or we may be getting out that "For Sale" sign. #kidding. Let's all say it together.#loser #blondemoment. Subscribe to...

A String of Purls: September 2014
http://astringofpurlsnc.blogspot.com/2014_09_01_archive.html
A String of Purls. Thursday, September 25, 2014. Fall is almost a new beginning for many. Everyone is tired of the heat, ready for the colorful, crispness of autumn and all the new things/challenges that it brings. Life seems to slow down a bit (or so I tell myself), and I have a chance to re-think my life and family. So I came up with goals, for me, for Emma, and for us as a family. I hope it helps inspire others to do the same. 1 Cook 2 new meals a month. 2 Do more things as a family. I really don't ge...
