Halloweensie! Zombie Mommy | Thoughts on writing for children

https://writingtoconnect.wordpress.com/2016/10/31/halloweensie-zombie-mommy

Thoughts on writing for children. Posted by Gabi Snyder. Asymp; 26 Comments. In the midnight hour, I decided to post a second Halloweensie story! This one comes in at exactly 100 words. Every Halloween, Violet’s mom went all-out spooky. Nice zombie costume, Mom. Barg, said Zombie Mommy, devouring raw hamburger. I’ll make my own dinner, said Violet. Under a harvest moon. Zombie Mommy followed Violet trick-or-treating. Your mom looks ghostly. Mom, you need help! Dr Goodbody’s diagnosis: See a psychologist.

Thoughts on writing for children. Posted by Gabi Snyder. Asymp; 3 Comments. This is my second year participating in Julie Hedlund’s Anti-Resolution Revolution (http:/ www.juliehedlund.com/2017-anti-resolution-revolution/). Julie’s approach celebrating successes from the previous year and using them as a base to build upon feels more hopeful and productive than writing your typical New Year’s resolutions (. I failed to accomplish X this year, but next year I’ll make X happen! Posted by Gabi Snyder. On the...

BIO | Leslie Leibhardt Goodman

https://leslieleibhardtgoodman.wordpress.com/bio

I grew up in Northern Illinois smack in the middle of gorgeous farmland and lush forests. The town moved at a slow pace. Summers were hot and humid (still are). Growing up, my sister and I wandered all over the walking trails our Mom meticulously maintained. Our imaginations allowed us to climb on the backs of great, fallen oaks in our forest co-captains of our sturdy (not so sea-worthy) vessel. As a young child, my favorite book was. When the Beezles Got the Measles. By Arthur Beckerman. I. It takes a f...

We creep, crawl, and sneak. Looking for it’s next feast. We hold hands and sing. Come out, come out! Tis All Hallows’ Eve.

Happy Halloweensie | THE NIGHTINGALE TALES

https://thenightingaletales.com/2016/10/28/halloweensie

October 28, 2016. The air is getting cooler, colorful leaves are blanketing my driveway, and pumpkin spiced stuff is everywhere, which means it must be that time of the year…time for children’s author Susanna Leonard Hill’s 6th annual Halloweensie contest. I absolutely, positively, love this contest. It is so much fun trying to come up with my own Halloweensie story, and equally as fun reading everybody else’s. If you want to submit a story of your own or read all the fabulous entries, head on over here.

Writing to Change Your World - Donna Ladd's narrative non-fiction writing with purpose

Writing to Change Your World. Donna Ladd's narrative non-fiction writing with purpose. Reporting Advice: Shut Up and Listen. Middot; May 12, 2015. Middot; No Comments. If there’s anything I’ve learned from my years of reporting: Always ask. That is, no matter who you want to interview, always try. Of course, anyone can say no, but they often won’t, especially if you clearly have done your homework and you really want to hear what they have to say. If You’re Writing To Change, You Will Be Criticized.
