Welcome the West Virginia Mountainettes! The West Virginia Mountainettes began in March 2010 to promote the sport and art of baton twirling in the Kanwha Valley area. Both Michelle Elmore Wooton and Holly Weddington had seen a decrease in participation in the Kanwha County Band and Majorette festival as well as the number of those interested in twirling dwindle compared to years past.
