We were fortunate with the birth of Adalyn to have not just one set of Grandparents but both come pay homage to the new princess. It was wonderful having them here to help hold the baby, keep the other kids entertained, and to take care of us grown-ups. A is for Anecdote. Short stories from somewhere in the 21st Century. The one from a cold Sunday afternoon. July 20, 2014. April 28, 2015. Winter hit this weekend. A perfect excuse to stay in and mooch about the apartment and cook a thousand dishes…OK, not a thousand, three. I’m pretty impressed with myself as I had to overcome some fairly fraught times. Two of the dishes needed an oven and mine decided to die. Why does that always happen? A chicken and leek pie. And chicken skewers with pearl couscous.
