Big (good) news | Beating Thyroid Cancer
https://beatingthyroidcancer.wordpress.com/2011/10/13/big-good-news
Larr; I’m cold. Checking in … still all good. October 13, 2011. Had my 6-month ultrasound last week and got the results of my bloodwork today…. Nothing on the ultrasound. Thyroglobulin level at 0. I don’t know exactly what that means, other than that’s exactly what Dr. Q said he wanted to see. Hopefully this blog will stay boring forever! Leave a Reply Cancel reply. Enter your comment here. Larr; Big (good) news. No news is good news. Checking in … still all good. July 23, 2011. It’s been so long I almost forgot I had this blog. That’s good. But, just in case it did have something to do with the meds, he switched me from Levothyroxin (the generic) to Synthroid. It’s been a few days on Synthroid, and my wife says it’s better. Next up for me is an ultrasound in November. Hopefully that comes up clean. One Comment on “Checking in … still all good”. August 15, 2011 at 11:16 am. With page number...

November | 2011 | Beating Thyroid Cancer
https://beatingthyroidcancer.wordpress.com/2011/11
November 7, 2011. Oh well, if this is my biggest problem, I can handle it. I am a 41-year-old husband and father of two who was diagnosed with papillary thyroid cancer in March 2011. I started this blog to serve as a record of my treatment, so others who are going through this can have a reference on the whole process, from one person, anyway. Here is the first post. If you want to read the story in chronological order. Here is a log to everything I ate during my low-iodine diet. Blog at WordPress.com.

Larr; I think we’re done here. I’m back for more. July 27, 2012. First, sorry I’ve been negligent in updating this lately. The first time I went through all this I didn’t have a job, so I had a lot more free time to update the blog with every thought and every morsel I ate on the LID. But enough of that, there’s news today. I had my WBS (whole body scan) this morning. When it was over, the doctor didn’t even talk to me. The tech just came out and said…. Well, isn’t that kinda awesome? For the other meals...

Beating Thyroid Cancer
I think we’re done here. August 3, 2012. See, when I started this blog and called it “Beating Thyroid Cancer,” I knew how it was going to end. And this is the end, essentially. Last week was the big hurdle when I had my whole body scan it came back negative. There was one last little piece of business to take care of after that. I had a blood test on Monday to search for any last little indications of cancer. Yesterday morning I saw Dr. Q and he gave me the results. Read the rest of this entry ». It̵...

A blog on proactivity. March 15, 2012. Junk-food needs not be bought at McDonalds. It needn’t be food at all, the motions are the same whether it’s internet or TV or sugar or whatever: anything that we have an urge to consume, knowing full-well. We’ve consumed it that not only it doesn’t have true value, but is also destructive in the long run, and yet we still do it because it satiates some sort of need… that is the enemy. Leave a comment ». Our chiropractor suggested we try Applied kinesiology. It is a technique used to diagnose illness or choose treatment by testing muscles for strength and weakness. She uses it to desensitize the body to potential “allergens”. So in the assessment lo and behold our son showed a sensitivity to neurotransmitters! She went ahead and desensitized him. We noticed that the vocal tics have diminished, however, we started him back on his medication about a month ago. So which worked? Many belie...
