No Duff Gamer: April 2015
http://noduffgamer.blogspot.com/2015_04_01_archive.html
Saturday, 18 April 2015. Bolt Action- Take The Town. A while ago we had played a game of Bolt Action on Joe's City board when he had just finished it, but we didn't have enough buildings to cover it properly. Well we played another round this time with the board fully covered the way it should be, and wow what a difference it was. This time round I took a German Waffen SS army and Joe took the Americans. The objective was to capture three points. 2 The middle of the Canal. The Board from the American side.

Tuesday, 24 February 2015. Bolt Action Point Defence Scenario. Joe and myself got together at his place recently for a game of Bolt Action. We decided to play the, 'Point Defence Scenario" on page 112 of the Rule Book, were the attacker must try and capture three objectives from the defender. The forces were around 1500 points each. I have had a Waffen SS army for some time that I have never used so decided to baptise them with a game. Joe used his US army. The US army were, "Regulars". Lots of pics below.

No Duff Gamer: June 2014

Sunday, 29 June 2014. Finally finished converting my 28mm ASLAV with the correct pintle mounted M240 GPMG on the turret. Now it really looks Aussie. The GPMG is a MAG58 which is identical to the M240, from Eureka minis with an ammo box added. I was not happy with the way it looked with the M60 GPMG, but couldn't get my hands onto a proper M240 GPMG until now to give it the right look. Saturday, 14 June 2014. Bolt Action demo games at the Combat Company. Below are some of the pics I took. Enjoy. They have...

http://noduffgamer.blogspot.com/2015/07/d-day-normandy-beach-part-three.html
Saturday, 25 July 2015. D Day Normandy Beach. Part Three. Here are some more photos of the Normandy Beach that Joeseph Simeone is currently building for me. Coming along very nicely. As you can see the bunkers have been set and the sand added. Next will be the duck boards and wooden palings for the trenches. One of the roads leading off the beach. Some modelling clay added to leave tank track marks. 26 July 2015 at 13:06. This is going to be a fantastic (and really hard) game table! 27 July 2015 at 02:30.

Friday, November 7, 2014. Protecting the Line - Sudan. Our game played out for seven turns and saw the Egyptian Army triumphant over the Mahdi. The boys held a thin but strong position, which forced the Mahdi army to split his forces and advance over a wide front.even my newly painted 'Egyptian' Battalion saw a bit of action and was successful at holding back the hoards.nice work lads. An Egyptian company secures the observation tower close to the rail line. Wednesday, November 5, 2014. Brig Gen Bartlett...

Lonely Gamers: October 2014

Friday, October 31, 2014. Last night I played my first game of Dead Man's Hand.I got slaughtered in all three scenes we played but thoroughly enjoyed the experience. The rules, turn sequence, and game was very easy to learn and after the second scene we new how the game run without looking too much in to the rules. I would definitely recommend the game for anyone wanting a break from the normal large scale battles. Labels: Dead Mans Hand. Tuesday, October 28, 2014. After about five months I have finally ...

Lonely Gamers: Fall 1863 - Probing for the Army of the Potomac Flank
http://lonelygamers.blogspot.com/2015/06/fall-1863-probing-for-army-of-potomac.html
Friday, June 19, 2015. Fall 1863 - Probing for the Army of the Potomac Flank. Last night the lads from the club had a great little ACW. The scenario was set in the fall of 1863 when after the Gettysburg campaign both sides were trying to regain the initiative. The period or the campaigns during this time allowed itself for some very interesting cavalry skirmishers and our game last night was bases roughly along those lines. Union cavalry dismount and start to construct some hasty works. With troops deplo...

Band of Wargame Brothers. A blog about our miniatures for the lads! Thursday, April 30, 2015. More Spanish Civil War. The Spanish Civil War is a popular gaming period for the Brothers as it enables us to give vent to our wide range of political views. I hold the correct ones.the others are just fascist bastards. . So he arrived with box after box of lovely painted figures.and mine were duly relegated to the cupboard as his are much nicer! Click here to read this entry and see the pics;. Links to this post.
