Saturday, April 30, 2011. This is our traditional "Cousins in a Line" picture. They almost create a perfect stair step. We've taken a few of these over the years, though it is sometimes hard to get our the entire family together. But when we are, we try to make the "Cousins in a Line" picture a priority. Monday, October 31, 2011. We had a festive Halloween that began when the kids got home from school. Once everyone was decked out, we headed over to Grandma Dildine's to show off costumes. Nathan came up with this last minute costume after rummaging through his dad's closet! He is getting so big! PS- I adored this spot in Grandma Ruby's backyard. Thursday, May 26, 2011. Ryan's kindergarten teacher had a wonderful tradition for each of the kids' birthdays. Ryan chose to take brownies to school and then got to read his Birthday Book to the class. Ryan and I put his birthday book together. Friday, September 16, 2011. It worked well to have Nathan's birthday fall on a Friday. We got to enjoy "date night" as an entire family. Nathan's Uncle Jim and his new wife, Valerie tagged along, too. Nathan didn't get a friend party this year. On our kids' "family party" years we usually take them out to dinner. Nathan chose Tucanos. We would have had the waiters sing to him, but Lydia was terrified at the prospect. That was okay. He still got the complimentary ice cream sundae. Cousins and Other Family.

Wednesday, September 21, 2011. I went to the hospital early on September 21st, thinking that I would have a smooth delivery.after all, it was my fifth, right? Thanks to the pain meds they pumped into my IV, I labored the rest of the time in and out of sleep, laying flat. That is, until they set me up to push. (That is when the spinal headaches are unbearable because the spinal fluid leaks out of the puncture). I've never felt pain like that. I hope I never have to feel pain like that again. Saturday, February 26, 2011. This year Danny played basketball on a local club team. Mid-season they got the opportunity to play on the court of the Idaho Stampede. They got to use the locker rooms and drink from the Gatorade. Coolers. They called it the Court of Dreams. Before the game started they had an announcer using the loud speaker. "And at number eleven, D-Danny, D-D-D-Double D, Dildine. The crowd went wild! Sunday, February 13, 2011. I'll say, "Absolutely.". A perfect way to hang out with family.
