IRISHLAKEQUILTER: What's On My Wall and More.........
http://irishlakequilter.blogspot.com/2011/01/whats-on-my-wall-and-more.html
Snippets and quilts, family, pets and friends. Thursday, January 27, 2011. What's On My Wall and More. What is on my "wall" today? This picture shows the start of a 4000 piece quilt that I am making for Michael's girlfriend, Jen. Since the photo was taken, I've increased the number of blocks to over 30 (there are 200)in the quilt and I may reduce that to a number less than the 200. These little blocks take a long time to make and accuracy, as I'm learning rapidly, if of utmost importance! Watermark templ...

IRISHLAKEQUILTER: September 2008
http://irishlakequilter.blogspot.com/2008_09_01_archive.html
Snippets and quilts, family, pets and friends. Thursday, September 11, 2008. Not a thing comes to mind for a title on this post. Summer is winding down, much to my dismay. Everything is coming all at once and my blog has taken back seat. Do I make kits and put them all together and schlep those to and fro? I try to do the latter, but that elusive piece of fabric is always at the other end! Retreat - it's that time already! Links to this post. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). IRISHLAKEQUILTER: Christmas
http://irishlakequilter.blogspot.com/2010/12/christmas.html
Snippets and quilts, family, pets and friends. Sunday, December 26, 2010. We awoke to 8" of new snow this morning - totally surprised us all! We jokingly laughed at the predictions that had been on TV for the past few days because it had not hit us by last night. It is truly gorgeous out there! A cardinal or a deer amongst the trees would make a wonderful Christmas card photo for next year. Here's a shot from a few days ago. Hope you all had a wonderful Christmas! IRISHLAKEQUILTER: June 2008
http://irishlakequilter.blogspot.com/2008_06_01_archive.html
Snippets and quilts, family, pets and friends. Monday, June 30, 2008. Sunday mornings are meant to be low-key, quiet and relaxing.right? E sewing machine (his birthday present to me for my 34th) and brought it home. It is rusting in places, but I am a firm believer in persistence. I doused it with WD-40, got out the Q-tips and some rags and went at it. It isn't very good yet, but it runs! Links to this post. Thursday, June 19, 2008. A few days ago I told you about the challenge that Mary. In the picture,...

Riding The Orphan Train: Hitching a ride...

Riding The Orphan Train. A journey into making quilts from the leftover, unwanted and without a home pieces and quilt blocks. The 4:25 pm Pacific Northwest. Departing Chicago.heading west.come ride with us. Saturday, December 6, 2014. Even on the Orphan Train, everything is not an orphan. The 5.5" fence rail blocks are a leader/ender project. It's boring. I have 52 done, do I want to go on, well? But I had a "lightbulb" moment while sewing.what if I alternate them with a "crumbs" block? I like this idea!

This "begun" has grown. This humble beginning, mostly Em's.has been growing quite nicely also. Give it a try during your play time. As you say, this is PLAY time.
