Reggie’s Woods | Meandering Missives & Musings
https://meanderingmissives.wordpress.com/2013/10/31/reggies-woods
Meandering Missives and Musings. Thoughts On The World At Large. Blogbites: Useless Wit & Wisdom. Posted by: Calmseas (Mike). October 31, 2013. It was many years ago on a Halloween eve. My friend Paul and I volunteered to scare the living daylights out of some kids small groups of middle school students, I think as they neared the end of a church-sponsored, haunted trail out in the expansive woods behind a church member’s home, what I like to call Reggie’s back 40. We must have been dressed as zombies or...

Meandering Missives and Musings. Thoughts On The World At Large. Blogbites: Useless Wit & Wisdom. Posted by: Calmseas (Mike). October 18, 2013. I am not a big sports fan. About the only time I ever watch sports is at the end of a season, and then only if my team of choice is making a run at a championship. So if the Lions or Tigers or Bears oh my! Late in the season, and late into a game say the 7. That was when I picked up the game. In the 8. Or will I succumb to the 11. Tomorrow night is game 6. It...

Meandering Missives and Musings. Thoughts On The World At Large. Blogbites: Useless Wit & Wisdom. Yesterday I heard someone on the radio say that a midlife crisis is often brought on by one apprehending that those hopes and dreams of one’s youth would never actually be realized in what remains of his or her life. For many of us, the original dream dies slowly along the way and we end up far afield from the original destination. But the final, unintended destination may not only be the more satisfying...

The World Needs Moore Joy: August 2008
http://moorejoy.blogspot.com/2008_08_01_archive.html
The World Needs Moore Joy. Thursday, August 14, 2008. I thought it romantic at the time as I embroided the tiny woman and child waving to her sailor. I learned to knit, crochet, embroider, cross-stitch, craft, and sew. My biggest claim to fame was when I sewed a baby-blue polyester suit coat for the love of my life! Although I didn't quite get the bias right on the lapel, and fashion tape wasn't invented back in 1974, my love wore it. Perhaps he only wore it when I was looking. but he wore it.

The World Needs Moore Joy. Sunday, February 15, 2009. Puppies, like babies, are a LOT of work. They press the adults who care for them on on so many levels but. We are cherishing being able to pick him up and cuddle him (he loves that! He particularly loves to be held in the arms of his two big men! We'll see just how long Paul and Devon will be able to do this! When Mobley weighs 120# the photos will definitely be posted! The nose is well on its way out of the picture as he nipped the end off today!

meandering miranda
Thursday, February 6, 2014. I knew that when I was able to get two months off to move from Virginia to Utah that I would be spending a good chunk of time in Florida. Partly because I'm over the Cold but most especially to spend time with my people. If you're reading this, then you are my people and you know how important friendships and relationships are to me. Halfway through the Sabbatical, I have no regrets. Here's who I was able to see as I trekked down I-95 and crisscrossed my way through Florida.

Meandering Miscellany
Thursday, July 5, 2012. Early June brought us lots of cousin time and even the Smith Grandparents! Ian got glasses just before school ended and then he went ahead and turned 9! Yesterday was a lovely Fourth of July with great friends! One highlight for the kids was climbing around and through a 1941 fire truck! Rosie and Millie (with dangerous water balloon and scheming grin.). Wednesday, September 7, 2011. Ugh I am a material girl. I fear that I may overcompensate for the spending freeze when I get back...

Meandering Missives and Musings. Thoughts On The World At Large. Blogbites: Useless Wit & Wisdom. Posted by: Calmseas (Mike). March 7, 2018. I visited my grandmother’s grave today–as I do most years on her birthday. She would have been 105. We lost her in 2011 at the age of 98. A few years ago, I did a series of video interviews with grandma in which she vividly and colorfully recalled some of the most interesting times of the early 20th century. These videos are a family treasure today. October 31, 2017.

The attack of Hood, Cooley, and the young gun slinger Jason Isbell could be argued as one of the best line ups every to grace a rockn’roll show. Meandering Momma | A retired school teacher hits the road
A retired school teacher hits the road. 2015 January February March. 2015 April May June. I’m baaaack…. January 3, 2017. Summers in Colorado are beautiful, and this one was no different than any other I’d experienced. Although the rent was quite steep in the RV Park I found, it was comfortable and very conveniently located near my friend Randy’s apartment and the tennis courts I frequented all summer.
