The moral of the story is...: "lovest thou me? Feed my lambs"
http://themoralstory.blogspot.com/2014/04/lovest-thou-me-feed-my-lambs.html
Thursday, 17 April 2014. If ye love me keep my commandments". How much did this man love. The Savior; who he called good master? Enough to keep the 10 commandment? Enough to follow Christ as a disciple? Enough to give up all that he has for God? Christ enough to keep his basic commands and follow him, but he loved. The wealth and riches more. Do we "sell all that thou hast, and come and follow me". Or do we let things that we have or like stop us from giving our all to Christ? What should I do now!

The moral of the story is...: What should I do now!? (Balancing life)
http://themoralstory.blogspot.com/2013/12/what-should-i-do-now.html
Thursday, 26 December 2013. What should I do now! Have you even just stopped and just watched a clock as time passes? Or seen the sand in an hourglass fall? Its kinda scary sometimes just how quickly time passes, there is just so much that needs to be done sometimes but there is just never enough time to do everything. Is it possible for us to do everything that needs to be done? So what can we do about it? Perhaps its a matter of priorities. But how do we know which thing to focus on most? Needs and tha...

Plain and Precious Things: October 2014
http://plainandpreciousthing.blogspot.com/2014_10_01_archive.html
Plain and Precious Things. Something to Support and Look Forward to. Captain Moroni and the Title of Liberty is my all-time favorite Book of Mormon story. We are at a point in our nation's history that we need a Captain Moroni to step up and lead the righteous to a restoration of our lost and crumbling liberties. Lt Lehi shared this with me on Facebook and I got so excited! Just want to share this with those I know. Spread the word! This is a vital story for the times we live in. Labels: Book of Mormon.

Plain and Precious Things: December 2014
http://plainandpreciousthing.blogspot.com/2014_12_01_archive.html
Plain and Precious Things. My prayers are less vain repetition and more heartfelt these days. I recommend giving it a try in your life. UPDATE: I re-found the blog on gratitude prayers. And want to share it for future readers. But maybe now he really does feel I love him for himself, which is totally true, and therefore he can return to church. Whatever the reason, I'm pleased, but I don't love him more, because I never loved him less. It gives me a glimpse into the heart of Heavenly Father and the Savior.

Katy's Kravings: July 2013
http://katyskravings.blogspot.com/2013_07_01_archive.html
Thursday, July 25, 2013. Lucy has a small Minnie Mouse obsession. So this year we had a polka dot "bow-tique" party for her. We invited more grown-ups than kids so we kept the activities a little more chill than usual. There were 4 different Minnie Mouse puzzles available at the dollar store, so that made a simple beginning activity. Lulu was in charge of the cake and she let Ryann do the sprinkles. Lulu acts very shy in most groups. She had been a little bit shy the night of her party, but when she ...

My Life and Hard Times: April 2013

My Life and Hard Times. We now interrupt your regularly scheduled reality. Lern 2 Read Gud. Thursday, April 18, 2013. From the Vaults: Vintage 2007 Goldberg. A recent redesign of Facebook made old Notes more. Prominent- reminding me that I had written some, including a short-lived column called "Just Ask Jimmy" with advice on everything from caring for your pet badger to avoiding spiked lemonade at innocent-looking street-corner stands. Just one question. Global warming: truth or conspiracy? Dear Not So,.

the Literary Pragmatist: Interlude #1: The Pressures of Weekly Writing and Building on Imperfection

Wednesday, July 1, 2015. Interlude #1: The Pressures of Weekly Writing and Building on Imperfection. It's probably quite clear by now that I'm struggling with the next installment of my narrative. In this next installment, I grapple with an explanation at the limits of speculation. I've checked myself over and over again, composing and recomposing the next portions of this project in my mind and on the page. So, fair warning. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). the Literary Pragmatist: My Presidential Politics - 27 Points
http://literarypragmatist.blogspot.com/2015/05/my-presidential-politics-27-points.html
Thursday, May 7, 2015. My Presidential Politics - 27 Points. With 550 days to go until election day, the absurdly long presidential election cycle is now in full swing, with candidates making bold statement that they will eventually walk back in the event they secure their party's nomination for the general election. Most importantly, I invite you to challenge my ideas or agree with them. Or point out an issue I've missed. I invite you to comment below. Even better, I invite you to author a g...All I ask...

Plain and Precious Things: April 2014
http://plainandpreciousthing.blogspot.com/2014_04_01_archive.html
Plain and Precious Things. This is the talk I gave in Sacrament Meeting on Easter Sunday. Caveat: I didn't take time to put in all the scripture references. Most of it comes from the books of Moses and Abraham, as well as the gospels in the New Testament, with a little bit of Book of Mormon and Doctrine and Covenants thrown in too.). Is that the end of our existence? If so, what is the meaning and point of all our suffering on earth? It is a bleak outlook. Adam and Eve continued faithful and prayed toget...
